VAR is shite, regardless of what decision they make.

It took far too long, but when you saw the lines it wasn’t even close.

That’s the sort of thing the linesman should be seeing.

I’m a Newcastle fan, but I didn’t agree with that decision, I thought he was just on. VAR seems to be moving too far away from clear and obvious, taking 2 minutes to make the decision is too long, it should be 30 seconds max for me

I thought both players feet were touching the blue line tbh. At worst it "giving the attacking player the benefit of the doubt" and the linesman got it spot on.

Offside has never needed to pass the “clear and obvious” test.

The lines took too long to draw, but once they were on they weren’t even touching. That means it wasn’t a close decision.

The attacker is the red line so it’s not a surprise if their foot is also touching the blue line.

The lines themselves weren’t touching in the end which means it wasn’t as close as it first looked.

Ah apologies, my bad. But aye, things need to be a wee bit quicker.

We’re just hearing about it more now. They never used to stop games as standard.

Correct. Also, since Muamba, they always have the CPR kit in the stadium so supporters will get treated in the stand. In the past it may have been best to get them out and to hospital.
