Bishop Briggs
Everton are about to sign Asmir Begovic (free), Andros Townsend (free) and Demarai Gray (£1.5m). Benitez and the fans will be livid if that's the best that the club can afford. Edited July 20, 2021 by Bishop Briggs

That’s fucking mental. 30 million pounds on a much worse goalkeeper than the one they already have. RawB93
Probably the biggest crime this summer tbh
buchan30
According to the times, they have asked them to increase the offer to £32 million. Must have massive windows at Sheffield United, because they have seen arsenal coming with this one.
accies1874
The Sun and Talksport (what a pair!) are saying that Levy's agreed to let Kane go to City for £160m earning £400k a week.

Mental. They'd be better trying to get Haaland - younger and offers a lot more flexibility. That's not saying Kane is crap - he just isn't in the top bracket of all-round strikers. That being said if City just want someone to put the ball in the net than he is ideal - just not worth that price tag.
Gianfranco
Kane is a superb player. He’s just not worth anywhere near that fee because he’s injured all the time.

Haaland has a release clause in his contract of £65(?) million that becomes active next year. You’d think if a club were to offer upwards of maybe £80million it’d force Dortmund’s hand maybe or at least trigger a bidding war amongst the big hitters. I reckon Haaland could potentially break all the goal records. The boy has it all IMO. -
eez-eh
Going by The Athletic, Haaland’s wage demands if he moves are absolutely ginormous. Would need to be a club where it doesn’t blow up the existing wage structure and piss everyone off, which probably only leaves PSG and maybe Man City (although clearly not if they’re after Kane) - leaving aside the Spanish two with their very public financial issues. Either that or some other club gives him a whopping signing on bonus to compensate for a lower wage.
Bully Wee Villa
Kane is clearly brilliant, and scores about thirty goals a season. But Man City's seeming disinterest in Haaland baffles me. He's gonna be the best striker in the world for much of the 2020s, I reckon.

He is an injury prone, diving b*****d for sure, but he is absolutely one of the best all-round strikers around. He can link play, drift out wide, shoot from distance, finish with both feet, relatively good in the air.... IMO only Lewandowski is ahead of him as an all-round striker at the minute. That being said, if I had to choose between Kane (soon to be 28) for £160m and Haaland (just turned 21) for less fee and slightly higher wages, it is a no brainer you go for Haaland.

Ramsdale was far from convincing last season. That's £8 million more than Arsenal got for Martinez who they should have kept. There must be better and cheaper options available.

It seems that City want to use Sterling or Mahrez in a swap deal. Dortmund like to bring in young talent and would not be interested. If I was Levy, I demand De Bruyne and £100 million plus to wind up arrogant City. Alternatively, Haaland and his agent have a deal sorted with another club (e.g. Chelsea or Real) for next summer. The buyer would pay his £65 million release clause and they would get huge signing-on payments.
