In fairness when its played on saturday afternoon slots which could be filled with games relevant to everyone then it becomes everyone’s business when it causes fixture congestion. What happens if next year we get Auchinleck or Pollok waiting 4/5 weeks to play a game up north due to waterlogged pitches or something? How is that fair on everyone else in the league if the SJFA cup gets top billing?

FWIW, I too agree that the matches shouldn't have been played on a Saturday this season and probably shouldn't be from next season either, even though the league programme is more sensible. If for no other reason than to stop you and your pals greetin' about it.

Looking back over the last three seasons has seen lots of change to football in the West at Tier 6 and below that.

Gone from being a Juniors organisation to being a new league at senior level in the pyramid. A massive change in itself.

Gone from 63 (?) clubs to probably 80. 18 new clubs by next season. One from the South. Lost one, sadly, in Annbank United.

13 clubs in next season's Scottish Cup.

Approaching around three dozen (?) clubs with Flood-lights by the end of next season.

Around 34 clubs with Under 20's teams in the Lowland League's Development Conference Divisions.
