HibeeJibee
Saturday 28th August 2021 Bo'ness Athletic 5-2 Oakley United Edinburgh United 0-4 Luncarty Glenrothes 0-5 Leith Athletic Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts C-C Peebles Rovers Kennoway Star Hearts C-C Edinburgh College Kinnoull 0-4 Crossgates Primrose Whitburn 1-4 Ormiston Sunday 29th August 2021 Tweedmouth Rangers 4-6Thornton Hibs (aet, FT 4-4) Ormiston took full advantage of their reprieve to deliver a shock demolition of Whitburn and march onto QFs. Tweedmouth tried hard to emulate them today but ultimately came up short in a quite incredible tie. Otherwise results went much as expected with comfortable wins for Crossgates, Leith, Luncarty and Bo'ness Athletic who interestingly are the only Conference X survivor. Edinburgh College and Peebles failed to raise teams for various reasons so situation with those ties will have to await hearings. That allowed it looks an interesting QF lineup due September 18th: Bo'ness Athletic Crossgates Primrose Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts/Peebles Rovers Kennoway Star Hearts/Edinburgh College Leith Athletic Luncarty Ormiston Thornton Hibs

Who knows if they've changed it officially as the EOS website still refers to the full name, but they are using it as their branding now. Not sure it's a good thing to go to a non-geographical name and there's already a Swifts in the same division. Drop the Hillfield to shorten it, sure.

Hillfield Swifts was their original name It’s the area of Inverkeithing they came from , Inverkeithing was added on when they joined the EOS. since they don’t play in either now The Swifts sounds reasonable.

Not sure that is the case, as I can find a number of references to the IHS name when they were in the amateurs. Sounds about as reasonable as Caledonian Braves tbh, maybe they should've went for Dalgety Swifts or Donibristle United instead

Doubt yer allowed to change team name midseason. Are they in Dalgety Bay for good now or is this a temporary place?

The Swifts sounds good to me better than Caledonian Braves

HibeeJibee
Clubs can refer to themself as they like - 'Hearts', 'Airdrie', 'Bonnyrigg Rose', 'Dundee Downfield' etc - but amending or replacing an existing official name must occur in the closed season and be approved by the governing bodies (to ensure what's proposed isn't liable to cause confusion/disreputable/offensive/commercially-motivated/etc.).
