And yet the Ashfield game went ahead. Very much looks like the right decision was made from your photo
Smaller pitch at Ashfield maybe helped a bit, but imo the ref made the right call at ours. One keeper would not have been able to see the other punting the ball or taking a goal kick.

I was guessing higher up but, who knows? Maybe the Carluke keeper will have something to say as he lost 6 goals!

Our results may not show it but we are far from pushovers . We are definitely improving under our new management team.

Lost a daft penalty after 35 mins, followed by a second yellow 8 minutes later to go in 1 goal and 1  man down at half time. 2nd Petershill goal came in injury time when we were down to 9 men through injury.

First game in 5 weeks told on us, particularly on such a big park.

We wasted a shed load of decent opportunities which almost came back to haunt us. Lanark looked much better than they did when we played at Moor Park. The big defender was sleeping a bit which caused him to concede the penalty as Docherty nipped in in front of him. Thought he was a bit unfortunate to get booked though, it wasn't a dangerous tackle and it wasn't as if Doc was heading for goal or about to shoot. Having said that though, the tackle for his second booking was very rash. The keeper had a dig at him when the teams were coming off at time up.

I agree about the bookings. Didn't think the first was a yellow. The second was and he should not have attempted it being on the yellow.

We are a better, fitter team since we played you at home but, ironically, we were closer to beating you the last time in September.

It seems to be standard now that if you concede a penalty you get a yellow card regardless of what the foul was.

The September game was our first match after our Covid outbreak, we hadn't trained for a fortnight and only had a couple of subs.

Based on yesterday I can see Lanark surprising a few teams before the season is out.

This Saturday's Lanark United vs Ardrossan Winton Rovers game has been moved to Dalziel Rugby Club

What an awful game. I hate plastic parks and this was just no fun made worse by Ardrossan scoring with the last kick of the first and second half to secure a 2-1 win. Actually, I lie, the last kick of each half were us kicking off.
