Failed Statelet Premier League & Other Divisions 2021/22

Carrick Rangers Vs Larne tonight at Loughview in the East Antrim Derby, live on the BBC iPlayer - 19:45 kick off.
A decent performance and result for the Ambers in a goalless draw at Inver park back in September but handily beaten at the end of December 1-3 in the reverse at Taylors Avenue. Even a scratchy point tonight would be more than welcome at the moment.

Awful game, Larne eventually reduced to 9 men (really surprised how undisciplined they were this evening), but Carrick were terrible again tonight. If they do get dragged into a play off game with either Newry or Annagh United, they will be playing Championship football next season without doubt. Finished 1-1 btw.

I couldn't access it, no matter how many times I tried.

Aye, would have taken it at kick off. Hopefully your boys have recovered from Sunday’s disappointment to win down at *Warrenpoint today, to maintain a four point gap.
*Any of their supporters watching last night must have been thinking though...”surely we’re not as bad a this lot (Carrick) to finish behind them in a relegation play off”!!
How does a side get outworked and outfought by a team down to 10 men for 80 minutes and who looked more threatening throughout.
Stuart King thought “we were very good and on another day would have won’’!!
He was clearly watching another game or had spent all afternoon in the Royal Oak![emoji15]

Unfortunately not, and it was at Portadown, which makes it even worse for you.

My apologies, I’m not sure why I posted Warrenpoint (meant Portadown) who have started to put a decent run together just as Carrick are falling apart!! It’s just the stress of it all! Haha!🤪

A condensed review of the Championship this weekend due to being away through work.

A couple of surprising results at the top of the table. Leaders Newry City held at home to bottom side Queen’s University Belfast in a goalless draw whist 2nd placed Annagh United were hammered 5-1 away at struggling Institute. United were already three down before Skipper Niall Henderson was dismissed just before half time. Ian Parkhill doing most of the damage and claiming the match ball with a fine hat-trick, the third from the spot.
Loughgall leapfrogged Ballinamallard into third spot with 2-0 win at Lakeview Park, whilst Ards thumped Knockbreda 5-2 at Clandeboye. Daniel Reynolds also with a hat-trick including a 50th minute penalty. A Matthew Kirk double secured the points for Dergview away at H&W Welders whose East Belfast neighbours Dundela enjoyed a comfortable afternoon at Wilgar Park with 3-0 home win over Ballyclare United.

Newry stretch their lead at the top to four points over Annagh United, whilst Institute are now six points clear of Queens at the foot.

Only just caught up with the highlights, Glenavon plenty of chances despite going down to Cliftonville. Don’t mind Gary Hamilton and his side at all, always seem to have a good go. Couple of decent signings in the summer, could definitely nudge up a couple of places next season.

Cliftonville win 1-0 at Stangmore to move a point behind Linfield, top 3 all played the same amount of games.

Swifts now lookinhg over their shoulders at the bottom 3, well two of them anyway. As mentioned, Coleraine win at Milltown, 5-2.

I should have recognised it, I've been there. Maybe it's been redeveloped in the last 36 years...

Barry Gray does a Frank Lampard and lambasts his players - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/60821656

Not sure how that will pan out.
