our understanding of the Highland League rules regarding goalkeepers.

And the fact they had 5 (iirc) signed and had 2-3 eligible to play that they totally forgot about… 🤦‍♂️😂

Is that through the courts then? I guess we could be looking at a settlement from the Highland League then for the way it was handled?

The SFA arbitration process is standard for any dispute between any clubs and leagues registered to the SFA and does not involve a court.

These things tend to happen quickly - the Hearts one didn't drag out once the process started.

Good to hear CK 👍

Follow Deveronvale, not wanting ourselves or anyone else in the league disrupted by Fort's nonsense a day longer than needs be.

We've all had to put up with their shenanigans for too long.........

Hearts (and Partick) foolishly ignored the arbitration process and went to court.

After the judge threw the case out on 3rd July, they went down the arbitration route. That took until 27th July, so hardly "quickly".

The arbitration process would not have started immediately on 3rd July any more than the Fort William one would have started on the same day they pulled out of the play-off. Three and a half weeks doesn't seem like a particularly long time anyway.

What difference does it make? Worst case scenario The HFL will release the fixtures anyway with Club X awaiting arbitration. Best The Fort can hope for is the play off to be played before the season starts which they will lose anyway. So everyone will take Club X as Banks O'Dee.

Maybe a slight hitch in Midlands League/North Caley having to wait for arbitration to produce their fixture lists I guess

Worst case scenario is the SHFL prepare an 18-team league fixture list only to find out we're playing with 19 instead, which is rumoured to be the compromise Fort William are after.

Vale of Leithen levels of Houdini escapes if they manage that

Why would they even want to be back in the league and getting pumped every week for another year?

They’ll still be getting pumped every week in the NCL, but by Halkirk, Invergordon, etc in front of 30 odd non-paying fans.

Or getting pumped every week in the HL again, but with the pay day of having 30,000 Buckie fans after the 7th postponement of their home league fixture…

Pre season fixtures are starting to be announced now.

I imagine the Washington Huskies are a squad of 6'6 super-athletes.
