Still only a longshot possibility on current form requiring the top two to bottle it because Fraserburgh only need three wins out of games at home against Forres, Lossie & Wick, plus away games against Rothes & Strathspey to surpass Brechin's maximum points total of 85, while Buckie have enough of a goal difference advantage to probably be able to finish higher than them with three wins out of home games against Strathspey & Wick, and away games against Clach, Deveronvale & Forres.

But the answer is no unfortunately. Silly defeats against Fraserburgh and Buckie have cost us.

Really not sure that getting effortlessly pumped by the better teams in your division count as 'silly defeats' tbh.

...................And Formartine - and Inverurie.

We were poor and deserved to lose those matches. Fraserburgh game we were 3-0 up going on 6 before we threw it and only a ridiculous goalkeeping error at Buckie stopped us from getting a point there.

The goalkeeping error at Buckie was in the fifth minute so Brechin had plenty of time to sort that out, but it was the Frserburgh/Formartine double dunt that ultimately fucked it. Losing to a Formartine side that failed to beat Fort at the same ground? Losing from 3-0 up at home? Michty.

Games that mattered .......

Fraserburgh 5 Wick 0

Deveronvale 0 Buckie 4

Brechin 2 Brora 1

Inverurie 2 Fort 0

Turra 3 Forres 2

Rothes 2 Strathy 3                                (Strathspey scored a last gasp winner)

Took in the Vale/Buckie game, did well the first 20 minutes, Buckie scored then took control of the game.

Was not much singing from the away support which outnumbered the home support 3 to 1.

Cracking day, topped my sun tan up while enjoying the banter on the canal bark.

Hopefully get back to winning ways against Huntly on Wednesday night 😉
