TheScarf
I'm fairly embarrassed that our reserves/squad players only managed to beat Elgin by 2 goals a few weeks back.

You can no longer "accumulate" payments as you progress through rounds, which meant teams entering earlier could earn more than those receiving byes. I believe there's only 1 Preliminary round, which will earn £2,200 if you exit at that stage, Round 1 exit will earn £5,000, Round 2 will earn £6,500. In previous seasons if you had exited at Round 2 after entering in the Prelim round, you would have pocketed £2,200+£5,000+£6,500. Now you get £6,500. Any idea what's the Prize money for being knocked out at each Round from Round 3 and onwards? How much to the Finalists?

Ginaro
I did this last round so here's a look at how the teams shape up in terms of the rankings: http://scotscores.theroonba.com/clubrank/clubrank.html These were fairly accurate last time, with only one real upset. Games listed here as draws are basically "close" and could go slightly one way when you factor in more points for home advantage. Will be fascinating to see how the inter-division clashes go. welshbairn
If Banks o' Dee draw with East Fife, they'll have played 10 fewer Superleague fixtures than Bridge of Don Thistle, who have played the most.

Given what you said about one shock in the last round, which implies it is really accurate, I feel a bit disappointed before even going now, as I was secretly optimistic about Albion's chances. However, I don't think enough weight is given to a team's current form: Ayr's recent record really is poor. So whilst I agree they definitely are favourites (full-time vs part-time), their morale must be rock bottom and if the Rovers play to their full potential I think there could well be a shock on the cards.

The one shock was Dalbeattie taking Rothes to a replay and then going away and beating them, it was a 266 point gap in the rankings. If you want hope for this Saturday - your win in the last round was as the slightly lower ranked team (-60 points), so channel that Edinburgh City performance and you might be the big shock this time round!

HibeeJibee
Credit to Auchineck who become the first-ever tier 6 club to defeat an opponent from tier 2. That also makes it the biggest gulf ever (as nobody from tier 7 has ever beaten somebody from tier 3). Record non-leaguers in R4 also (being 5). R4: Scottish Premiership (12): Aberdeen, Celtic, Dundee, Dundee Utd, Hearts, Hibs, Livingston, Motherwell, Rangers, Ross County, St Johnstone, St Mirren Scottish Championship (6): Arbroayth, Ayr, Morton/Inverness, Kilmarnock, Partick, Raith SPFL1 (4): Airdrie, Alloa, Dumbarton, Peterhead SPFL2 (3): Annan, Edinburgh City, Stirling Albion Lowland League (1): East Kilbride West of Scotland League (2): Auchinleck, Clydebank North Juniors (1): Banks o'Dee tbc (3): Brechin/Darvel, Montrose/Kelty, Queen of the South/Cove
