He’s got a point in the last week both Stirling Albion and Edinburgh City were told by the SPFL that they couldn’t postpone games as they had an under 20 squad.

Also the Bell game he’s talking about with 11 players would have been postponed if they didn’t have an under 20 squad.

Shame it’s off may have a trip to Shippy instead.

Come through to St Andrews for our first game under the devils illuminations.

Dundonald don't have an under 20s. Out of 23 players they had 11 available for the game at Lothian Thistle and had to use 2x under 18s for the bench as trialists .

I thought they didn’t have any youth sides.

They really should have been allowed to postpone if Inverkeithing are allowed to tomorrow.

Wrong. Evidence IS required.

We potentially had an issue with tonights game (we didn't in the end thankfully and only two personnel were missing) and were advised that if the game was postponed due to Covid issues, evidence would need to be provided to the league to back this up. Fair enough.

Wednesday 29th December 2021
Blackburn United 2-2 Camelon

Thursday 30th December 2021
Broxburn Athletic 0-2 Linlithgow Rose
Dunbar United 3-1 Whitehill Welfare
Dundonald Bluebell V-V Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts

Linlithgow now 1pt from top as their streak - among this season's most sensational Scottish fitba stories - rolls on.

Honours even in drop 6 pointer.

Dunbar enter top half - Whitehill still bottom.

Quite an even first half at NCP. When Welfare equalised I thought they might go on to take the points but a couple of cracking goals from Dunbar's Jones won them the points, which is useful for them as they play Tranent next... Decent enough crowd for a Thursday night too.

Not looking good for my old Rosewell pals, alas.

Yes a tough spell for the Seasiders coming up.  However, they have a fair number of home fixtures with 7 of their remaining 11 due to be played at Countess Park.

The Seasiders did well with a thin bench, a 17 year old colts player and three others.  Covid taking its toll at all levels of the game.

Think Tranent away is a free hit. Not expected to get a result, but Derby mentality may do us a favour, again!

Possibly wishful thinking!

However, regardless of the result on the 8th, Dunbar have a decent run of home games and have shown they are capable of being a match for anyone in the league at NCP.

Currently sit just in the top half but league is so tight that 2 or 3 wins / defeats pushes you comfortably mid-table / brings you back into the danger zone.

Great league and advert for Scottish football. Pity that 4(ish) go down!

What is “V-V” and why were Linlithgow’s and Tranent’s games off?
