Why?? If its clearly offside, stopo the play. I'm struggling to find and benefits, but lots of issues associated to this rule change. That (not waiting to belatedly flag) does still happen regularly from what I’ve seen. Surely easily offside? They did protest a fair bit but they were never going to change the decision. In fairness, after Cuikie went 2-1 up there was only one winner.

Not sure what rule change you are on about, certainly no changes at this level. Only when there is VAR in use does an assistant delay their flag if it's a tight decision and the attacker is going towards goal, so that if there is a goal scored the offside decision can be checked. Nothing worse than onside goal being flagged offside when there's VAR available to check it... As for the decision in this game, it does look like the player is offside - however the camera is about 5m ahead of the last defender and as we've seen in the age of VAR and hawkeye, camera angles can be deceiving so it's maybe not as far offside as it looks. The assistant seems to be in line with the last defender at least. Edited July 18, 2021 by Ginaro

Just be thankful there's games taking place and there's a full list (hopefully) to look forward to right through to May. And dont forget there will presumably be the reverse fixtures taking place at some point in the season.

Although this card tonight has teams all over the place. I can understand not wanting the most local game but we are having to battle through rush hour traffic to come to Whitehill. Same for Sauchie going to musselburgh and Broxburn to Dunbar

GordonS
Linlithgow Rose humping Hill o Beath 5-0 at half time, and that scoreline doesn't flatter Rose at all.The best I've seen them play in years.

HibeeJibee
Dunbar United 2-1 Broxburn Athletic Sunny if breezy night in East Lothian, and a good crowd - about 180 by my reckoning - turned out. They saw the hosts race into a deserved 2-0 lead. Firstly the right back missed clearing a 2nd ball and it was swept home off the post... then a good burst down the left wasn't repelled and their nippy attacker #7 got there before veteran Townsley, whose creaking limbs couldn't carry himself back across quick enough. West Lothian men injected subs and new pace after the break, halving the deficit from a direct freekick, disputing an equaliser off a flick ruled out for offside, and frankly were basically camped around the Seasiders box by the end. However no equaliser materialised and they return westward with 0pts as Dunbar sit pretty on 6pts. Victors played well throughout - especially 1st half - and will be delighted with their exciting start to 2021-22. Halftime analysis among the schoolboys behind the goal decided the visitors were "Broxburn Pathetic" and "as bad as Rotherham". That certainly would have felt unfair after FT - but they undeniably have room for improvement. Edited July 20, 2021 by HibeeJibee

Omnishambles
Tranent 3-0 LTHV Convincing win on a sunny evening at Foresters tonight making it two wins from Tranent's first two. A brace for Sean Wringe against his former club. Looking good.
