The Premiere Division 2021-22

Recommended Posts

Crossgates 2-1 camelon. Discipline letting us down again got too involved with arguing with the ref. Who wasn't great but we need to be better. Crossgates one tactic was get near the box get fouled for a free kick which they scored from.

The linesman who was an old out of shape guy was the best linesman I've seen this season l. Stepped in to help because of a lack of linesman and his experience told. I did say to him to say to the ref too watch them buying the fouls.

We could have nicked a point at the end but would have been harsh on Crossgates who were very good.

Great stats and really good clubs providing the attendance figures to you 👍

Absolutely, despite all that is going on and a few short of numbers it is great to have this info provided.

Not far away with the other divisions either. Most grateful

Tuesday 17th August 2021
Linlithgow Rose 2-2 Musselburgh Athletic
Penicuik Athletic 5-0 Jeanfield Swifts
Sauchie 3-2 Newtongrange Star
Tynecastle 3-1 Tranent
Whitehill Welfare 1-3 Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts

Wednesday 18th August 2021
Blackburn United 1-1 Dunbar United
Broxburn Athletic 4-0 Hill of Beath Hawthorn
Crossgates Primrose 2-1 Camelon
Dundonald Bluebell 5-0 Lothian Thistle HV

Tynecastle took the laurels of acclaim as they ended Tranent's winning run in style. Penicuik kept theirs going to move 3pts clear. Sauchie finally got a win which jumped them into 15th. Among the chasing pack at the right end Broxburn and Dundonald continued their inexorable rise towards the upper reaches. Crossgates and Inverkeithing won well and moved into mid-table.

Saturday 21st August 2021
Broxburn Athletic v Crossgates Primrose
Dundonald Bluebell v Sauchie
Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts v Jeanfield Swifts
Linlithgow Rose v Dunbar United
Musselburgh Athletic v Hill of Beath Hawthorn
Newtongrange Star v Lothian Thistle HV
Penicuik Athletic v Camelon
Tranent v Blackburn United
Tynecastle v Whitehill Welfare

Mixture of intriguing games tomorrow with no particular stand-out. Penicuik v Camelon draws obvious interest at the top - and similarly Newtongrange v LTHV at the bottom. Tranent must be looking to return to winning ways at home to Blackburn. Some clubs may have half-an-eye on their Scottish Cup Preliminary ties next weekend.

Wasn't there to take in today's match but a convincing 5-0 win for Tranent this afternoon to get us back to winning ways. Hearing Jamie Docherty scored a blinder into the bargain. Some run Penicuik are on as well, pulling it back against Camelon and keeping their 100% start. Hats off to them.

Penicuik are hard working never give up and delivered when had to. We had 2 one on ones and we didn't take them.

Camelon keeper was excellent especially his early one peddling backwards tipping it away our lads were relentless second half while Camelon were always dangerous on the break and Bob had a couple of good saves

Agreed Slabs. Terrific saves by their keeper and the defenders threw themselves in front of a couple too. Camelon are a decent side and was glad    Our goalie stood strong on their counter attacks. Once again a red card helped the cause, that must be 4 or 5 in or favour now, but our attacking style of play perhaps draws more fouls? Like the Jeanfield game it was one way after that. Credit to the management for changing things at half time when it wasn’t quite happening. 9/9 is beyond my wildest dreams…now for the Big Cup!

Tansey is different class though. If we had taken one of those 2 one on one's could have been different. Enjoyed my visit good game fans that gave a bit of crack so was good. Nice ground
