The Premiere Division 2021-22

Recommended Posts

Superb achievement to stay up this season, particularly the run-in with wins at Penicuik, Broxburn and Linlithgow. Hopefully can build on this.

Some way for Mark Campbell to head into retirement after 27 years as player and manager. Cheers gaffer.

How many points were the Wee Rose off the top of the table when they binned Brown?

Thirteen and if he'd have stayed would have enjoyed another season of rotten boring football and been thirty points off the top.

With him signing more of his midtable Camelon team for next season you guys must be worried that another season of mediocrity awaits.

Heard that Darvel had signed a championship player for 12 k in last few weeks

They signed a player from Kilwinning for 12k a few weeks ago. He won't be playing against Tranent as he got a season ending injury a couple of weeks after signing.

Quick question on promotions and relegation

In the event of a net gain of 1 club from the Lowland League, the club finishing
14th in the Premier Division will also be relegated to the First Division; and the
8th-placed club with the better record in Conferences A & B will remain in the
First Division; and the 3rd-placed club in Conference X will be among the clubs
forming a new Second Division

Does this mean if Darvel are promoted then there is 3 teams from conference X promoted and the new 2nd division ends up 20 teams?

Was at the game yesterday and didn’t know Mark was retiring. One of the real good guys. Done an incredible job over the years building Blackburn from where they were.  All the best to him.

IMO the title this year will be between Linlithgow, Tranent and Jeanfield.  Plenty others could mount a challenge but sooner or later Lithgae will get it right and the other two were the best last season (or what was played of it). If I was to pick one I’d go for Tranent.

Going down will be 4 from Inverkeithing, Blackburn, Dunbar, Sauchie and Whitehill.  Think LTHV and Tynecastle may also struggle this year and be in the mix for relegation after they had decent seasons last year.  Camelon appear to have a lot of changes if the Transfers in/out is correct so their season could go either way.

Not too shabby predictions here.

Missed Penicuik in the table topping predictions but got the other 3 out of 4. Penicuik got off to a flyer and it turned out to be the real deal all season.

Bottom end of the table called Dunbar & Whitehill but 3 others of your picks were also sweating out the final Saturday and LTHV still sitting with crossed fingers and toes. Spot on saying Camelon's season could go either way too. Equal top with 3 out of 3 at the start and then only pick up 11 points in the remaining 31 games. Newtongrange have been a tough one to call. Certainly had a poor start but never hit a purple patch like Hill of Beath or Blackburn to get out of the relegation spots.

Not much said about Inverkeithing. With the smallest budget and everyone's favourites to be rock bottom to finish 10th and beating the likes of tranent and lithgy is outstanding. Well done to Tranent on winning the league 👍

Done very well, but I think having a League One standard striker may have been the difference between staying up and struggling.

Probably but he doesn't do it all on his own. As you seen last week.....
