The Premiere Division 2021-22

Recommended Posts

It is a bit curious that their two matches are both being played so late in the season but there is a fantastic post on the wosl forum about how hard it is to schedule fixtures at this time of year due to previous postponements and outstanding cup ties which have to be played before you can confidently schedule games.  The guy that does it deserves immense credit.

I suspect there’s a bit of guessing who is in the hunt with the original schedule but it makes sense to hold these games a bit to get the crowds up. Scheduling is mainly excellent - away to Luncarty in the deciding cup group game with a 6.30pm ko isn’t great though!

So, will Rose/Tranent/Penicuik beat Talbot/Darvel in the play-off?

If they don't, then 5 go down.

It could get worse if Gretna drop to the EoS (do they, or is it SoS?) in the event of Fraserburgh/Buckie winning the play-offs.

Said from the start the insecurity of 5 going down was a bit harsh.

Disappointing LTHV playing at Craigroyston this week though. To me thats a bit amateurish of being allowed to pick and choose yer home park. Its not the 1st time this has happened. What's the reasoning behind that?

WW fate could be sealed this weekend and probs one of the 1st teams to find their realistic place in the pyramid,as disappointing as that seems next season looks a lot brighter.

See yous on the other side.........

For some reason Edinburgh City are playing Saturday 15:00 at Ainslie Park. Some sort of trickle down effect of that. No idea why it's been moved to a Saturday since EC have been playing Fridays.

Should have been away to tranent last or tonight. Might be a blessing though.

LTHV aren’t ‘pick and choose’, change forced

There's an U19 womens consolation international at Ainslie Park on Friday evening - Kosovo Womens U19s v Kazakhstan Womens U19s:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2022_UEFA_Women's_Under-19_Championship_qualification#Group_B4_2

Having been taken to a venue/day/time clashing with lodger's SPFL2 game, that has moved; but in doing so clashed with tenant's EOSL game; and they've shifted venue rather than date.

Fair enough so is it "forced" or have they decided to shift venue themselves?

Nothing wrong with a bit of flexibility to get games on. It’s not like it’s even in a different town or anything. Also it’ll probably help Craigroyston out with some much-needed funds so win/win if you ask me

Day of big results... Tranent held by Crossgates but go top... Tynecastle won at bottom and possibly done enough; LTHV slayed Jeanfield; Dunbar drew; Blackburn, Newtongrange and Camelon lost deepening woes; Whitehill still fighting.

Will any of them beat St Cuthberts or Threave?
