That would be a 'Trialist', so must be more serious for a points deduction as playing someone not on teamsheet is apparently classed as an 'administration error'.

somebody from outside Scotland and not cleared?

Saturday 6th November 2021
Dalkeith Thistle 0-4 Leith Athletic
Edinburgh United 0-2 Coldstream
Kirkcaldy & Dysart 6-0 Craigroyston
Ormiston 0-1 Arniston Rangers
Rosyth 2-2 St Andrews United
Thornton Hibs 0-2 Haddington Athletic
Tweedmouth Rangers 2-1 Kennoway Star Hearts

Today marked halfway point of league campaign on paper, and in practice 47% of games have been played (so null-&-void threshold will be passed next Saturday).

Leaders win but Kennoway go down to a shock defeat at Tweedmouth, who seem to have an edge to them now. Rosyth drop out of safety having come from behind against St Andrews to draw.

Saturday 13th November 2021
Craigroyston 0-2 Edinburgh United
Dunipace 4-0 Leith Athletic
Haddington Athletic 6-0 Coldstream
Kennoway Star Hearts 1-2 Kirkcaldy & Dysart
Rosyth 2-3 Arniston Rangers
Thornton Hibs 5-0 St Andrews United
Tweedmouth Rangers 4-3 Ormiston

Until recently Leith were unbeaten for what felt like more months than anybody could remember. No longer! In recent weeks they've been held at Thornton, lost at home to Edinburgh United, taken a battering at Haddington in the South Challenge Cup, and today taken another at Dunipace in the league. They now trail by 6pts and the Denny men have closed to within 5pts holding a game-in-hand as well. Kennoway dropped more points in a rare home defeat.

Tweedmouth won yet again, in a result keeping Ormiston - who have 7pts despite scoring 3 of their 7 goals today alone - bottom.

Today saw the campaign pass 50% mark, which means we should see final placings and a champion whatever befalls the remainder of the campaign in public health terms.

Haddington have now gone half the league season unbeaten, with only a single draw, and now occupy pole position in the title/promotion race. Leith and Dunipace are their realistic chasers and indeed that solitary draw came in Denny on opening day, plus they've still to meet Leith (away on last day of the season; and home on date tbc). You get the distinct impression a quart of 5 clubs from Kennoway to Rosyth is trying to fit a pint pot of 4 safe places.

So happy to see Tweedmouth lose their “whipping boys” tag. A lot of hard work and patience off the pitch paying off bit by bit with a team of young, local boys starting to grow on the pitch. Hopefully it will continue in the new division 2 with a full season against other teams around their own level and they can hold their own around mid-table.

At the top, Haddington will be an awesome addition to the premier league. Playing like a top half team already so should put the cat among the pigeons next season

Since my visit there I've kept a soft spot for them. I met some of their volunteers and they are all absolutely lovely and passionate people. They made me feel very welcome. I've got a lot of respect for them.

Thought Haddington where brilliant, movement off the ball very very good.

Perhaps lucky to go in at the break 1 up, but it was some strike by the boy although goalie looked pissed off he didn't get a hand to it.

Saturday 20th November 2021
Kennoway Star Hearts v Dunipace (2pm)
Leith Athletic v Rosyth (3pm)
Tweedmouth Rangers v Arniston Rangers (2pm)

With the leaders Haddington on cup duty Leith look to close gap to 3pts, while 'Match of the Day' is in Fife as Kennoway (4th) host Dunipace (3rd). Tweedmouth could enter top 10 with a win.

What's going on at KSH, seem to have hit a real dip in form at the wrong time of the season?

we have been really unlucky with injuries and suspensions and losing our top striker to linlithgow has knocked us a bit, but we played well against dunipace on saturday with a couple of our 20s playing so hopefully we get back on track soon, we have a really small squad so hopefully can get a few players in soon .

Haddington ground out a vital win with 10-men and dealt Dunipace's title hopes a potentially mortal blow. Leith did the business in pursuit. St Andrews recent revival continued; Arniston won again at buckling Kennoway... could they yet reach 7th? Dalkeith-Edinburgh Utd fell to late snow.

Saturday 11th December 2021
Arniston Rangers 1-3 Leith Athletic
Coldstream V-V Kennoway Star Hearts
Craigroyston 2-4 St Andrews United
Dunipace (eight) 8-2 Dalkeith Thistle
Edinburgh United 0-3 Rosyth
Ormiston P-P Thornton Hibs
Tweedmouth Rangers P-P Kirkcaldy & Dysart

Leith took the chance to close to within 1pt of Haddington - in what remains a dramatic race for top and promotion. Dunipace thrashed Dalkeith to stay in touch behind; Rosyth took key points to overtake Coldstream into 7th; while maligned St Andrews rise to heady heights of 11th.

Dalkeith Thistle P-P Haddington Athletic
Kirkcaldy & Dysart P-P Dunipace
Ormiston V-V Rosyth
St Andrews United 4-3 Edinburgh United
Thornton Hibs V-V Craigroyston
Tweedmouth Rangers P-P Leith Athletic

St Andrews renaissance continues. Arniston and Dalkeith frozen; Kirkcaldy fogbound; Tweedmouth match ref felt pitch unplayable.

Due to the Christmas break there are no more games until 3 weeks time; except for the New Year derbies which have ended up here, there and everywhere. So with 58% of games completed a good opportunity to reflect on the standings.

Haddington lead but have Leith breathing down their necks, and both head-to-heads still awaited. Dunipace will not give up the hunt either. Allowing for games in hand anybody down to about Dalkeith yet hope to reach safety.
