I was 6 when Piper Alpha happened, but I remember the news coverage fairly vividly. Stockline was only about half a mile from where I stayed at the time, and we regularly played 5s at the Firhill complex across the road. Standard talking head-type history show, but still very interesting and some information I hadn't heard before.
