Clydebank FC 2021-22

Recommended Posts

Another game where we didn't really hit any heights but still did enough to comfortably see off a stuffy Blantyre for another deserved 3 points. Nicky's double was really well taken and great to see Gallacher get his goal - he works so hard for the team.
7 wins and 3 draws is a great opening 10 games in the league - only the 28 to go. All 3 draws have been from losing positions - 2 with injury time Little goals - so there is a bit of dig and desire in the team. It'll be needed as the teams around us all seem to have the same characteristics. Talbot, Buffs, Darvel and Pollok - all teams with bigger budgets and strong squads. Saturday against Darvel will be our biggest test since the opening day point at Beechwood. For one thing Moff will have them prepared but only an improved performance will see us retain our 18 month unbeaten run - Mon the Papers.

I know it finished 2- 2 today but was really disappointed in Clydebank , didn’t think they threatened at all but once it gos to 2-1 it was all them and if not for a wonder save from Chrissie they might have won the game ! It’s debatable whether it’s a penalty but if it is ur team u would be wanting one but hard to see how defender can get out the road

as for us very disappointing and no for the first time away from home this season  ,there is something missing out there but with the experience in that team how we cannot hold on to a two goal lead with ten mins to go is certainly no good enough , we stole games at glenafton and were fortunate at beith and if we hadn’t won those games we would be a good bit off the pace and with the squad we have it’s certainly no good enough , big game at pollok next week now

We were missing 2 of our biggest attacking threats in Little and Mulcahy  and then Archy ( who's been scoring ) and Niven ( who's dangerous at set pieces) also went off as well as our keeper. Tbh Darvel - although having more of the ball- didn't really test our keepers much. Pleased with a point from 2 down with 10 to go but with a full squad - hoping injuries clear up with one game a week now - I think we'll be more impressive.

Two most embarrassing football clubs you are ever likely to see both playing on the same park 😱

Juniors are still dead M65.

Good to get back on track on Saturday with a comfortable win after losing our unbeaten record. Cumbernauld a shadow of the team who were unlucky not to win at Holm Park in July.

Yes they were excellent at holm park as we were poor tbh but i thought on sat our boys took control of game from start 2 finish. Only bad finishing from us kept the score down. Onto scottish cup game now

Just popping in before I forget to wish the Bankies good luck for the Scottish Cup tie which is this weekend if I'm not mistaken?

It'd be great to get through to draw a match against us (Dumbarton) in the next rounds.

Yes,this Saturday home to Dalkeith.

Would love to have the Sons visit us in a competitive fixture.
A lot of hard work has gone into making this happen,it’s been a long journey but The Bankies are back!
