Has anyone said this is the best squad in 30 years?

Also, who has claimed this is the best squad in 30 years?

Also the Czech game “two going on five” was nothing of the sort. We outplayed them for 90 minutes and they just won because we wasted our chances whereas they took theirs.

"Two going on five" is indeed nonsense.

Not nearly as ludicrous as the claim that we outplayed them for 90 minutes though.  That is genuinely bonkers.

Marshall made two or three good saves in that game which are forgotten due to his howler

We missed a ridiculous amount of chances in that Czech game which is why it stung so much. We had fairly lengthy spells on top from what i remember but aye it's a stretch to say we outplayed them for 90 minutes.

The whole Euros felt a bit like that - we were schooled by Croatia but still missed stupid chances from what i remember. A draw was about right in the England game but again, we still had a handful of real opportunities to score. You can maybe get away with those against Israel, Armenia etc, but much like McGinn's sitter in the Ukraine game, you simply can't miss those chances against half decent sides and expect to get anywhere.

As much as the game was bad last night and unsettling it was as much the fault as the players than the manager

People can talk shapes and systems untill the cows come home but if the players don't turn up we don't win or even perform well

So say he gets sacked or walks, who do we get in?For me it has to be someone that took teams to finals

So who is on that list?

Stuart Baxter 68 prob to old

Chris Coleman is 52 but took job in Greece

Michael O Neil well he already has turned us down before

If we cant get someone with a track record that is better than Clarke then we might as well back him and stick with him

This is first, and I'm going to guess only time, anyone will ever read that you might aswell keep Clarke because Baxter, Coleman and O'Neil aren't available.

So it's managers who gave taken British or Irish national teams to WC or Euro finals? There are a few others who could be added to your bizarre shortlist, e.g. Mick McCarthy, Martin O'Neill, Roy Hodgson, Glen Hoddle, Kevin Keegan...

We could get a foreign manager with a good track record if the salary is attractive. Joachim Low is currently a free agent and wants to return to management.

Ryan Giggs, 48, led Wales to Euro 2020 and could be available within the next year.....

If we have "the stones" to appoint another foreign manager, Laurent Blanc is another free agent. He took France to the QFs of the Euros. Other countries, e.g. Belgium and Turkey, have foreign managers.

The Ryan Giggs that is currently under investigation for assault, nah you're alright.

If we ever have another foreign manager because Vogts was shite, why do we continue to have Scottish managers after so many of them have been pish?

Yip, precisely this.

If Bertie means we daren't ever go foreign again, then the evidence that we should never again appoint a Scot, must be mountainous.

Where does it end with these folk?! Can we never appoint a male again? Can we never appoint a human again?! Perhaps our next manager should be a female horse, or one of those mad jellyfish who have no gender?

Those are both good shouts.
