House Bartender Posted August 17, 2022 Share Posted August 17, 2022 The sticking out ears of Film Director and Producer Stephen Frears (Dangerous Liaisons, The Queen, Hi-Fidelity, Dirty Pretty Things et al) get a mention in the 1960s number one hit single "Lily The Pink" by the Scaffold (John Gorman of Tizwas fame, Roger McGough the poet and Mike McGear (Paul McCartneys brother)). Allegedly backing singers on the recording included Graham Nash of The Hollies ("Jennifer Eccles had terrible freckles"), Elton John and Tim Rice. Plus Jack Bruce on bass. If the bear comes to the bottom of the tree, the lynx will piss on it. The first episode to be aired was "The Man Trap" which included a monster that craved salt. They bought some salt shakers for filming the episode but did not use them.
