Whenever you see him on screen pushing a button, it's always with his left hand. He usually kept his right hand either behind his back or curled in a ball so nobody could see his missing fingers. He died about 15 years ago. His ashes were shot into space. Of the original Star Trek regular cast, Doohan, Leonard Nimoy, DeForest Kelley and Majel Roddenberry have died. That leaves 4 left alive (Shatner, Koenig, Takei and Nichols). For a show made in the 60s that's fairly good going. Compare to Babylon 5, shown in the 90s.
