Jinky67
Calm down lads they are only the best team in the world, they will destroy much better teams than us Good first half, tired in the 2nd unsurprisingly and we look rattled after then 2nd going in so quickly after the 1st. However we did have chances to go ahead so some positives to take further into the group. Just how good is Modric though genius of a player.
pozbaird
Celtic playing a big team tonight was just their version of St Mirren facing Celtic. We’ll start well, make a couple of chances, miss them, hang in for a bit, then end up getting pumped rotten. Afterwards we’ll say ‘if only we’d taken our chances’ etc… but it changes nothing, we got pumped.
Lex
Expect to hear all about the gulf in budget between Celtic and Real Madrid now. How could the poor lambs possibly compete? Then when Celtic beat Livingston at the weekend we will hear about what a great team they are again.

Empty It
The greatest fans in the world outing themselves as scum again and Celtic getting pumped by a Real team not getting out of first gear, predictable night then.

No complaints it’s up to us to raise our level, get better tactically, improve our squad and do better next time.

Albertlegend
What's with the team heading in the right direction chat? They have won 10 of the last 11 titles? They have been pumped in the champions league before, what direction were they previously heading in?

So yeah it’s a step back in the right direction and at points particularly in the 1st half we done pretty well. Like i said it’s only Real Madrid
Fratelli
The result is about what you'd expect. The way the game panned out is a wee bit harder to take. McGregor hitting the post, Abada's chance, Maeda's chance and a couple of other minor chances. We should've done more and really should've taken the lead in the first half. You can get away with fucking yourself into the ground if you take the chances that come from it, but being 0-0 against much better players when you're starting to tire is only going to end with one outcome. Acting as if it's a massive embarrassment is a bit weird mind. So aye it's a bit of a sore one but not a travesty, they're really fucking good, which is why the swept aside sides ten times better than us a few months ago and have players who've won the fucker about 8 times. It's given me a bit of confidence for the rest of the group, we've shown we can create chances at this level and you'd imagine we'll get a few more against sides who aren't Real Madrid. Lot of folk talking about the learning experience side of it which for this campaign is right enough, but we turn over our squad too quickly for it to be something to build on in years to come. Qualification for the group stages was automatic this year so that doesn’t show any improvement. You’re right they did OK in the first half. Was always obvious Madrid had a few more gears though.
EpicMike
Celtic probably shaded the first 20 minutes and got a lucky break with Benzema going off but class wins out in the end and Real Madrid are an elite side. Was interested in seeing who is a truly good player at Celtic and who is a flat track bully, Jota was a bit meh but has the rest if the group to prove himself.
jessmagic
Celtic just need to think outside the box a bit more.
