Season Ticket Sales

If you end up near the guy that was co-commentator last season, that would be enough entertainment to justify buying a season ticket anyway!

That slavering shite would put me off football for life.

Arbroath is a reasonable sized place. 25k plus

Always been one of the better supported PT teams. New board coming in realised that potential. Social media, community trust thing all done wonders last 5/6 year along with success on the park. Younger ppl everywhere kicking about in AFC stuff, as someone in their late 20s that was very rare when I was younger at boys club football and out and about. Number is only going to go up. 800 good effort, maybe get another 100 or so bought before Saturday.

We're now at 1900.

Pretty disappointing amount considering we sold 3400 three years ago. I know that included around 800 free kids( which we don't do anymore) tickets but still a good bit down taking that into account.

Can also blame Covid uncertainty but other teams like Killie, Partick, Arbroath and Ayr seem to have done well with their sales relative to their fan base.

Accies can only dream of 800. I think the last time we were around that mark was two seasons in the middle of our Premier stay when the board cut the price to £130 then £150. We might have reached 900.  This was the price for everybody so hard luck if you were a pensioner, you didn't see much of a saving. Someone on the Accies forum said we'd sold less than 150. We only sold 549 in 19/20.

Great effort and if you keep up that level of support, you should be capable of remaining the best PT team in the country for a wee while. That must be (at least) similar numbers to those that FT teams like Ayr, Morton and QoS get.

He was objectively awful. The commentary teams are obviously supporters of the home side but even a touch of professionalism isn't too much to ask. They certainly shouldn't be shouting at their players and the officials during the game which is what he did in our game.

He kept shouting "Shoot" every few minutes, I thought it was a tourettey ticking type thing. Michty braw.

The club must take some responsibility for this.
I have had a ST for about 5 years pre covid but have received no communication from the club regarding renewal. It can’t be too difficult to text, email or even send a letter to details they must have on their database.
Not everyone is always going to be proactive in renewing due to many personal factors.

The young Pars manage to send out renewal letters for my son so it is possible.

I’m surprised it’s as high as 1900 tbh.

Very possible even if restrictions get lifted that some will be returned later in the year or early 2022. I’m sure I’m not the only one that can’t stand the thought of any more streams.

Highest we’ve ever had. I think it’s great but no doubt that amount will be scoffed at by some of the big time Charlies in this league.
Not only are Arbroath the only part-time side in the league but Arbroath is also by far the smallest town. Pretty much every other town in the league (apart from Glasgow obviously) is at least double the size. Dumfries the next smallest but still much larger than Arbroath.
Also factor in the decades of general shitness and I think it’s pretty impressive how well we’re supported at the moment. Could still be better obviously but the more seasons we spend at this level, the more kids in particular, will follow the team.
When I was younger there were hardly any kids in the town that went to games or openly supported the team, now you see kids in AFC tops all the time and there’s always a healthy turnout at every game.
Not at all, not that long ago that was your average support in league 1. Not to be sniffed at at all.
