5-0 going on 7 or 8. Fairly even first half with Swift's having more clear cut chances. Camelon were always a threat down their left side but are clearly weaker down right. 1-0 at HT, should've been 2 or 3.

Quick couple of goals early second half and Camelon heads dropped. A solid performance by Swifts all round reflected by spread of goals throughout team. Front two for Swift's were real quality all game/real handful and will be a threat to any team if they get decent service.

Camelon have good players but are light up front and weak down their right side with confidence clearly an issue. A big job for Jonny Harvey and his coaching team.

Light up front with the formation we are playing. We were averaging 2 goals a game up till the jeanfield game.

No surprise outcomes - but some surprise ways of getting there... Inverkeithing hammering Camelon; Blackburn taking league leaders to ET; Edinburgh Utd leading Syngenta at HT.

A real decent game of football at Blackburn, two EoSFL Premier League sides from either end of the table going at it with, in truth, little between them.

Blackburn really need to consistently find the kind of performance that has pushed Rothes and Penicuik to the last minute of games and that had Linlithgow desperately killing time for fear of losing an equaliser the other week when they come up against teams in the same reaches of the league as themselves, if they could then they’d surely be quite comfortably in the top half of the league table. It really must be a conundrum for their management team, but a conundrum that they’ll have to quickly solve if they don’t want to find themselves battling against relegation as the season progresses.

Maybe 6 regulars out due to work commitments, injuries and suspensions on Saturday. Just looking at the 3 games you mention, Blackburn fielded 21 different players. A lot of that is down to injuries but I guess it means too that there isn't a clear and obvious starting XI. On the other hand it means too that Blackburn aren't reliant on one player and there some depth to the squad. Top half might be pushing it imo but they have it in their own hands to be able to stay up.

Saturday 27th November 2021
Broxburn Athletic 0-1 University of Stirling
Dundonald Bluebell 5-1 Fauldhouse United
Hill of Beath Hawthorn P-P Berwick Rangers
Preston Athletic P-PKinnoull
Thornton Hibs 0-8 (eight) Jeanfield Swifts

Broxburn succumb to the students. Dundonald and Jeanfield big wins.

Having negotiated the Border roads, then driven about 75 miles to sunny Fife, your correspondent was less than chuffed to reach Hill of Beath v Berwick only for the match referee to call it off about 15mins from ko citing hard spots on the pitch. This was not a pleasing development. I consoled myself by diverting to Kelty v Montrose where I was relieved of £15 for an exciting 0-0 draw.

I had a walk up to your game and couldn’t believe it was off.

The Haws were training on it when I looked over the fence.
