Dunipace-Edinburgh Utd and Kennoway-Lochore looks especially well-balanced.

There is a new Border derby at Tweedmouth.

Saturday 11th September
Arniston Rangers 3-1 Kirkcaldy & Dysart
Dunipace 2-2 Edinburgh United (aet, FT 2-2, 3-4p)
Edinburgh College 3-6 Dalkeith Thistle (aet, FT 3-3)
Gretna 2008 0-4 Bo'ness United
Kennoway Star Hearts 2-0 Lochore Welfare

Penicuik Athletic (eleven) 11-2 Hawick RAU
St Andrews United 0-6 University of Stirling
Tweedmouth Rangers 0-10 (ten) Gala Fairydean Rovers

Most games ended in comfortable wins for the favourites... except at Hermand Park where West Calder of Conference - who played more than half the game with 10-men! - pushed Berwick of Lowland all the way.

Tuesday 21st September 2021
Bo'ness Athletic (seven) 7-0 Lochgelly Albert
Hill of Beath Hawthorn 6-2 Ormiston
Tynecastle 0-5 Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic

Draws for R3 + R4 are 7pm on Tuesday.

There are 6x Lowland, 12x East Premier, 8x Conference A, 3x B and 5x X clubs involved.

Bo'ness or Perth derbies would be tasty.

Tranent v Bonnyrigg clearly tie-of-the-round... also attractive is Leith v Haddington, Sauchie v Bo'ness Utd, potential Broxburn v Uni of Stirling, and HofB v Berwick (who may scent a path to QFs).

To think Berwick used to play the winners of this cup.

Whatever happened to the City Cup?

How the mighty have fallen.

Remaining ties from R2 being Kinnoull v Coldstream and Newburgh v Broxburn now in Saturday 23rd October; ditto a quartet of R3 ties in Musselburgh v Kennoway, Inverkeithing v Camelon, Blackburn v Penicuik and Dalkeith v Linlithgow. Those clubs had already exited the Scottish and Alex Jack cups due that day.

Just updating this post to see what the draw is like, some tasty ties in there. Assume some of these will be played in late November, except the ones with a * who are in other cups.

5-0 going on 7 or 8. Fairly even first half with Swift's having more clear cut chances. Camelon were always a threat down their left side but are clearly weaker down right. 1-0 at HT, should've been 2 or 3.

Quick couple of goals early second half and Camelon heads dropped. A solid performance by Swifts all round reflected by spread of goals throughout team. Front two for Swift's were real quality all game/real handful and will be a threat to any team if they get decent service.

Camelon have good players but are light up front and weak down their right side with confidence clearly an issue. A big job for Jonny Harvey and his coaching team.
