Any idea if the LL teams that are based in the South or West will be included in the WoS cup competitions? Something to ask in the West forum I'd imagine. It was mentioned that in order to create an Alex Jack / Alba cup equivalent they'd have to set up an FA in the West. EDIT: Although I doubt it would be a pressing concern. EK this year have a 34 game league season, Scottish Cup, SPFL League Cup, SPFL Challenge Cup, SCC, and Lowland League Cup. Gretna 2008 are still in the EoSFA, Dalbeattie & Braves have the Southern Counties FA comps, BSC Glasgow aren't in Glasgow. No idea. I think EK was only ever playing in this East tournament out of convenience while they were isolated with no other pyramid clubs in their area. Also this season they got a wildcard to play in SPFL League Cup (they will have 2 league games-in-hand before they've kicked a ball!), so they would have an abnormally heavier schedule than everyone else had they kept in. For historical reasons Gretna continue in East Cup even though they are in South's catchment league-wise; vice versa Caledonian Braves in Southern Counties Cup (with Dalbeattie) even though West catchment. BSCG, Cumbernauld and 'Shire never joined either (to keep their rents down AFAIA) but first pair would see themself as West and on paper 'Shire has Stirlingshire Cup.

HibeeJibee
Final is down for Sunday 27th March 2022. Preceding rounds don't have dates of their own, so R1 & R2 ties take place on Scottish Challenge Cup R1 and South Challenge Cup R1 days where both clubs got byes. Some others are tipped-in where clubs are the odd team or their opponent is playing a held-over South Challenge Cup tie. First Round Tuesday 10th August Bo'ness Athletic v Livingston United Gala Fairydean Rovers v Rosyth Whitehill Welfare v Broxburn Athletic Wednesday 11th August Lothian Thistle HV v Hill of Beath Hawthorn Second Round Saturday 31st July Whitburn v Camelon Tuesday 10th August Bathgate Thistle v Craigroyston Dunbar United v Leith Athletic Edinburgh South v Tranent Musselburgh Athletic v Stoneyburn Oakley United v Thornton Hibs Peebles Rovers v Fauldhouse United Preston Athletic v Burntisland Shipyard Pumpherston v Blackburn United Sauchie v Crossgates Primrose Spartans v Linlithgow Rose Wednesday 11th August Armadale Thistle v Easthouses Lily Haddington Athletic v Heriot-Watt University Inverkeithing Hillfield Swifts v Edinburgh University Jeanfield Swifts v Vale of Leithen Luncarty v Dundonald Bluebell (or Sat 14th) Syngenta v Glenrothes Saturday 11th September Arniston Rangers v Kirkcaldy & Dysart Dunipace v Edinburgh United Edinburgh College v Dalkeith Thistle Gretna 2008 v Bo'ness United Kennoway Star Hearts v Lochore Welfare (Lothian Thistle HV) v Ormiston Newtongrange Star v Civil Service Strollers Penicuik Athletic v Hawick RAU St Andrews United v University of Stirling Tweedmouth Rangers v Gala Fairydean ROvers/Rosyth West Calder United v Berwick Rangers Tuesday 21st September (Bo'ness Athletic) v Lochgelly Albert (Hill of Beath Hawthorn) v Ormiston Tynecastle v Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic to be confirmed Kinnoull v Coldstream (Livingston United) v Lochgelly Albert Newburgh v Whitehill Welfare/Broxburn Athletic
tamthebam
I wish Edinburgh City would take the City Cup more seriously. Just because we're big(gish) boys now. Still due a game against Camelon from two years ago.. When Annan were in the East of Scotland League there was a cup (other than the Alex Jack) they didn't take part in because it was an East of Scotland FA competition rather than an East of Scotland League competition and Annan were South of Scotland FA members.

HibeeJibee
Camelon = otherwise free July 31st (HofB playing last season's SCC SF v Dunipace). Whitburn = 'odd team' in X (allowing them to play EQC R2 v Camelon that day not midweek). EDIT: Similarly if HofB reach Final then Dundonald = otherwise free on August 14th. Luncarty = 'odd team' in B that day so can play EQC R2 tie there not midweek. 2 hours ago, yessiricanboogie said: Surely a first when a 2nd round tie is played before any first round tie Urban myth potentially... but in 1980s/1990s a Renfrewshire Cup Final was supposedly played before 1 of its SFs! Supposedly they couldn't find any date for SF ahead of Final. Which was usually early in the season, ensuring a big crowd, the proceeds from which the amateurs received a share. Solution was to play Final, then catch-up SF later, taking it on trust the SFL club would "do the business". Situation very like this legend certainly did occur in 2011. Morton beat Viewfield Rovers by 13-0 scoreline on Tuesday 20th July... but St Mirren couldn't find a date to play Carlton YMCA ahead of Final due Tuesday 27th July. Accordingly they met Carlton on Wednesday 1st September some 5 weeks after the Final. However they dressed-it-up as Carlton having scratched and billed it a "Celebration Match". (St Mirren only won 2-0 btw!). Edited July 22, 2021 by HibeeJibee
tamthebam
There was an East Juniors League Cup section match a few years ago which was left outstanding (weather postponenent I think). It was played, totally unnecessarily, a few days before the Final
