Or they could use the same studio they used the week before when covering a team they will be covering the same but away from home?

You've got to be on the wind up.

Nobody could seriously think that a broadcaster would present coverage of a game from another ground that will be empty and in darkness.

Why use the BBC or STV studio when they will be familiar with the studio they use at Celtic Park when they cover similar European matches there?

"Familiar" :lol:

Darrell Currie and Chris Sutton spend more time in BT's London studios than any studio at any ground in Scotland. By your logic, they should present all games from down there. We wouldn't want them getting lost in an unfamiliar studio now, would we.

Surely this is the intention? They want it to look "fucking ridiculous" to drive home the point to Rangers.

I'm not entirely sure anyone at Ibrox will care because it's BT that would look ridiculous.

Nobody knows exactly why they’re using an empty Parkhead instead of a studio either in London or elsewhere

If I had to take a guess, I’d imagine it comes down to what’s the cheapest option, usually is when businesses make decisions

They're not using an empty Parkhead studio. That's just a possibility of a suggestion given by an unnamed source, that may or may not actually exist.

The chances of it actually happening lie somewhere between "none" and "f**k all".

Fair play to cinch for holding onto that hand grenade until now.

You can now give a detailed explanation as to why this affects the contractual issues with the Spfl/cinch deal and provide details of any discussions with Cinch and Rangers?

Don't take too long now.

Although it is possible for any negotiations between Cinch/Sevco to have included adjustments to be made for a wee car salesman from Lanarkshire and, from a completely legal point of view, have nothing to do with the SPFL/Sevco/Cinch deal it does lend itself to potentially undermining the strength of some of the arguments Sevco will make about their refusal to go along with the deal.

It will in a huge way.  With the league, it's just that has to mention cinch, but if it is the stadium then it would mean cinch would force exposure in the league, cups - domestic and Europe, most likely on stationary maybe also emails (if their signatures have addresses), on google searches and more.

Oh let me try .......

Cinch: Hey is that Dougie? We're interested in calling Greyskull, The Cinch Ibrox Stadium .....

DP: That could have legs, £20m for 5 years (looks sheepishly at the ceiling)

Cinch: Awwww you're onto plums big man, no chance

DP: Well you have our number, we don't do walking away, haha, laters.

Meanwhile at SPFL HQ

Doncaster: Hi Media middle man, we're looking for a league sponsor, can you help?

Media Middle Man: We have someone in mind, let us check and get back to you. Our fee is £500k, you cool with that yeah?

MMM: ....... so its 5 years, £1.6m a year, you get Cinch quoted in the classified results, SSN, logos on trackside billboards and behind Stevie G (except on the BBC), more exposure and importantly not alienating a demographic who would vilify you.

Cinch: ooooo tasty, sign us up.

Cinch: Dougie, the Dougster, Doug-a-laarrr, listen we've had decided to go in a slightly different direction, love and kisses, mwah.

DP: Robinson!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can discuss Cinch@Ibrox or whatever the possibility was until the cows come home, as long as no contract was signed there's no legal relationship between Cinch and Rangers and it doesn't matter to the dispute between the SPFL and Rangers themselves (in my opinion).

Will be funny if Bisgrove asked for more for the name than the SPFL asked for the league though.

Also, if Cinch were already interested in Scottish football sponsorship, how much work did the agency Doncaster hired actually do?

It has a massive bearing on it if the argument allowing cinch into the game effect another one of their partnerships, as Rangers would then have to argue how naming Ibrox would not (which would give cinch far more exposure than league sponsorship would).
