Their downfall has been the inability to grind-out or rescue even a single draw - a dubious accolade shared only by Camelon. Their opening 2 wins came against fellow strugglers LTHV and Newtongrange; but later victories over Dunbar and Dundonald show they can take points off others. Basically the next 3 games look like making or breaking survival hopes... H v Blackburn, H v Hill of Beath, A v Dunbar night before Hogmanay. Wouldn't bank on many points from subsequent Penicuik, Musselburgh, Jeanfield, Sauchie, Linlithgow. LTHV was one of the make or break games too HJ. Disappointing. The earlier matches against Blackburn and Tynecastle are sticking in my craw a bit. Could've had a few more points on the board. Not looking good after them next 3 fixtures like you say but you never know.

Any sign on a restructure of the conferences for next term?

Which would stop 5th bottom being relegated 3 points and a horrible goal difference to try and claw back. VoL are going to have to get some wins and hope Gretna 2008 stop picking up points. They've also played each other twice now. Gretna 2008 getting a win and a draw. Which does highlight how bad they both are since they've only been able to pick up 6 points elsewhere. VoL with their random win and Gretna 2008 grinding out 3 draws.

As FwF has pointed out 5th bottom doesn't even look good. Harsh for whoever does finish there but it is what it is.

Only seen the Welfare 4 times this season Newky and last night was typical of a team that's down at the bottom. Thought they were the better team in the first half. Lost Arran Laidlaw after about 7 minutes and the guy Dublin-Green came on. Felt wee Fraser scored against the run of play after a great block by Mussa. Could have been 2-0 a minute later but another great stop. Deservedly level by HT after a mazy run by McKinlay. Dunbar were much improved second half although Ireland missed a great chance for WW in the first minute. Seemed to be going in but the goalie got a toe to it and it trickled wide. The 2 Jones goals were superb, the first looked a worldie. Hope to see them again as Dunbar usually have highlights? WW did have a few chances and an offside goal chalked off but like a team at the bottom, you go behind and the belief just drains away. Very little on the bench to strengthen what was already on the park. Don't know the squad but a couple of young laddies came on that didn't look like they had any experience. Kiddo named as a sub. You could hear him moaning about players not competing for the ball at 3-1 down. Surprised how good Ricky Miller was, won everything in the air. Bryan is a legend. Also no discipline problems which have dogged their season, Miller was booked for dissent though. 11 games left, can't see any light at the end of the tunnel beyond spending next year at tier 7. Ricky has had an outstanding season. 5 doon it's looking grim especially wi Penicuik up next. Would be a big loss going out this league for sure wi all the revenue it brings but the pyramid is all about clubs finding their feet. Whether that's level 6 or 7 we might just find that we're the yo yo club between the 2. Would love to stay tier 6 but got to remember for the the size of village and I know its growing but so is everywhere else these days I think at tier 6 we are punching considering some of the teams that are in and around this level be it east or west.

Down fighting by the sounds of it but sadly ultimately another defeat for the kiddo and the guys. Tier 7 will certainly be no walk in the park, there will be some very good sides (ie 2 of Leith, Haddington & Dunipace from Conference A alone) and ultimately a 1st Division full of sides who have their house in order. With a mind boggling turnover of managers and players that’s something WW simply haven’t managed in what is a 4th consecutive season at the bottom of the table. Highlights looked like Fraser arrived at the right time and place after that save. The boy Andy Jones will be full of confidence he had scored a lot of goals this season and he has a turn of pace. Ricky and Darren looked good . The bench for both sides looked thin, a couple of young lads for both sides.

Haven’t seen it yet but I was standing behind the goals at the time and there were two defenders so I thought one of them would clear it. But they were either slow to react or caught flat footed, and meanwhile the ball kept rolling out, and Fraser fairly battered it in.

More thinking a level to be competing more nearer at top end of table than bottom. The pyramid hasnt exactly been kind to WW wi potentially 5 going down this season but got to look forward now not back, others from higher up will most probs suffer successive relegations as well although won't be as ruthless as 5 doon. Just a pity we were one of the 1st to fall.

Unfortunately the relegation of 4 or 5 created by a season with no relegation and another null and void with WW saved both times.

Relegation is what it is, the manner of it is staggering, we have gone a full 360 from winning virtually every week to losing virtually every week, at least the good times were unparalleled,
