true fan
What about the coming season? Will we be starting out on a 36 game season? Supporters allowed - full house? Restricted numbers? Covid passports? Testing? Any decisions on what constitutes a completed season in the event of games being lost? How to resolve play off disputes? (don’t laugh) Its not really all that far off. Fixtures will need to be announced in advance of games. I know League Cup groups have been drawn Judging by the past couple of years and clubs inability to make any decisions my questions may be naive - they might leave it until a day or so to go. Obviously things change but provisional plans can still be made. Anybody heard anything?
Jaydee
My understanding is that lateral flow testing will be adequate this season.
HibeeJibee
Testing of players isn't required at all in tier 2 and below... It was also recently confirmed that cheap or free rapid tests (not expensive lab tests) will now suffice if anywhere goes back to tier 3. Crowds are currently 1,000 seated/500 standing in tier 1 and 500/250 in tier 2 (with bigger capacities on application). Being another 2 reviews away - come start of season all going well some areas should be tier 0 (2,000/1,000) and some another step on (tier -1...?!?!); even assuming no more fundamental relaxation. Pretty clear they're planning a regular season. Starts usual weekend, ends usual weekend, they've even reintroduced the Tunnocks Teacake Cup with 4 rounds Aug-Nov. Move to lateral flow makes things easier. Do the tests need to be independent for the football club? A lot of employers are requiring lateral flow tests now and it seems a tad excessive to require a player to take a test if they have already done one that day.
Cowden Cowboy
Needs to be 2 a week in training only weeks - observed by clinician (who can be club doctor or physio) at training. When matches come along you add in a self administered home test by player. You certify each week re the testing carried out including a copy of testing certification to opposition and ref with teamlines. Lower league clubs had to PCR test at least once every 7 days as each match/training session you required a negative test within 168 hour period prior to that match/session

Is that 100 per cent fact that in tier 0 the crowds allowed are 2000 seated and 1000 standing?

tamthebam
If we can persuade Leitch that Covid can only be caught on Saturday afternoon between 3 and 5 pm then Edinburgh City will be quids in It's crazy but they might just fall for it.
