Thought it was a comfortable victory, whilst the opposition did not offer too much of a threat last night. The Rose went about their business in a professional manner. The early goal helped the cause, then it was great to see Sean Brown s ore his first goal for the Rose. A scoring blitz at the start of the second half finished the game and even the luxury of Sean Brown skying his penalty for his hat trick.. The players kept the lid on any celebration at the end and that will come in a forthcoming League match. I also thought the pitch was in great nick and compliments to those concerned for that.

Well done, thoroughly deserved.

Well done Bonnyrigg, good luck in the play-offs.

(I wonder where those Bonnyrigg fans are who opposed leaving the Juniors are now?)

It’s not just Bonnyrigg fans it was the correct decision for the whole of Scottish football. P.S A long as no Colts teams are admitted to any of the Leagues.

Was the vote not 98% in favour? Only one dissenting voice on here at the time

Well it’s another trip along the M8 and a new ground for me this afternoon. I remember Arthurlie beating us in a Scottish Junior cup tie at Bonnyrigg a few years ago.  It certainly will be a difficult match, reckon the home team will be out to capture a big scalp. I look forward to a rousing cup tie as is usual when we get drawn against teams from the WoS

Well as predicted that was a tough match yesterday. Been a while since we were at ground like Dunterlie.  Thought both penalties were justified and we are blessed to have 2 goalies of the quality of Mikey and Mark. A few noticeable absentees from the starting line up, which gave others valuable game time. So we move on to Berwick next Saturday and I’m sure all the squad will be trying their hardest to be in the starting lineup next week. My excitement will increase as the week goes on.

GOSH ANOTHER ROSE PENALTY KICK AWARD ! NO SHOCK THERE THEN !

TAKEN FROM ARTHURLIE FC TWITTER MATCH REPORT BY ROSS LAFFERTY

" It was from the restart that the visitors went straight up  the park and took the lead. Lance Pearce was harshly punished for a challenge in the box and Lewis Turner converted the penalty that followed. "

Well another great day to be a Rose 🌹 fan yesterday. We were at it right from the starting whistle and Sean Brown hit the opener from inside the 6 yard box, big Kieron’s strength carried him into the box for the second, a great end to end move. We continued to dominate the half and should have scored a few more before half time. The ref even denied us a blatant penalty when a defender wanted McGachies shirt as a souvenir. Berwick started the second half playing more football uphill against the wind. The Rose eased the pressure in the second half when the self proclaimed “No1 Goalie flapped at a save which rebounded on to McGachies chest and rolled into the empty net from 12 yds. But the usual No1 Goalies biggest boob came 5mins from the end when he hit a fresh air clearance (oh how the Rose fans loved that) and Evans took his time in hammering the ball into the net. The scenes at the end with team and fans were most memorable. Culmination of a fantastic effort throughout the season and a well deserved League Championship. Well done to all involved I have loved it.

Direct that at the TJ character that held back the entire Scottish Juniors scene for nearly a decade

Well what a lovely Spring day for a car journey to Dalbeattie. Our longest away League journey of the season. Hope all the celebrations of last weekend are out of the systems and we can get back down to business for the last 4 league games and keep the momentum going for the playoffs, wherever they maybe in the Highland League. Always been close games with Dalbeattie Star and look forward to visiting one of the “Good Boy” clubs in the LL.
