...........or gutsy. Take your pick

After the early bath for Skinner and losing a goal from the resultant free kick it didn’t look good. Marty Flynn chose this game to score his first goal for the club. Can only assume McCormack took one for the team in preventing a goal?

1st red against Skinner was for a stamp after a tackle from the Wick player. Yes he made contact but could be argued that it was more accidental than deliberate
2nd red came from a long Wick punt and it was a one on one when McCormack took him out. Was a red, which led to a siege on the Boness penalty area for the last ten minutes but superb game management takes the tie back to Boness

That’s two players out for the next game. Still got Comrie to come back in plus Hawkins - saw he was missing from the squad - Max needing to bring in reinforcements. Never a dull moment following the BU’s.

Highlights are interesting, particularly with the two red card decisions. Skinner stood on the player's leg but was it deliberate? McCormack's foul did not prevent an obvious goal scoring opportunity as Locke was coming across to intercept.

Edinburgh City v the BU/Wick in round 2

Poor draw for the winners next Saturday.

Not sure it matters who we or Wick play as going to be a struggle for either going on yesterday .

Much as I admire what Max has done with BU , he’s got to put his hands up to a roaring mess of signings at start of season .

This now leaves a threadbare squad with Hunter basically forced to play .

Also , an 18 year old standby keeper , hopefully the lad is good but really at this level , got to be exceptional . Never even saw him yesterday .

So if Murphy had got injured/unwell/ sent off we were totally goosed .

Fantastic gesture though with Michaels address to supporters on behalf on the players and to think Max wanted rid , would have been yet another poor decision on his part .

Played a lot of games now and I can’t really see all that much difference .
