Because Max doesn’t take loyalty, or heart into account. He’s had an issue with Gemmell for day one. Gemmell had reservations when Max took over at Bo’ness based on his experience at Bonnyrigg when Max was found guilty of creating a fake profile on Pie & Bovril and slagging Gemmell off. Gemmell requested a move and Max was sacked weeks later.
