Sounds like bad injury and very unpleasant circumstances.

Tie must try again Monday - or Tuesday if both clubs agree.

Was assuming it would be Wednesday. That will be some trip for Wick at two day's notice on a work day. Seriously doubt their players will have all arranged for a day off work to cover for this eventuality and will they even have booked a bus? They fully deserve that level of inconvenience by the sounds of things.

Could they concede the tie? United will disadvantaged by the loss of Miller where as Wick will have the services of the perpetrator of incident unless of course yellow is changed to red.

No expert on this but think there might be some hefty fines for not fulfilling a fixture.

...
if a Match is still undecided Clubs
are required to make two attempts to play or to replay the Match in succeeding mid-weeks until the Match is decided and it is known which Club is progressing into the next Round of the Competition. These attempts will be made on Mondays and Wednesdays. Clubs may however elect to play on a Tuesday rather than a Monday, but if doing so, will be required to play or replay on the Wednesday of that midweek in the event of a draw or a postponement.

Was just away to post that exert.

I’d guess the best some of the Wick players could do would be the Tuesday. Would imagine several of the Wick players would have to hold off until Monday at the earliest to speak to their employers and try get the Tuesday/Wednesday off at short notice. 🤔

No different to Musselburgh last season but they were made to go on Monday, with weakened starting XI and subs bench of coaches 'n schoolboys IIRC.

Bo'ness presumably wouldn't have wanted to play Wednesday even if rulebook had allowed it - next weekend's league game is on Friday.

A real sickener to lose Zander the way we did but also a bit of a sickener that that we have to play an additional match and Wick get another shot they don’t deserve. Also I think that the injury to Zander has unfortunately overshadowed what was actually quite an encouraging BU performance. Despite losing a couple of really sloppy goals and getting lucky when a Wick shot hit the bar, I think we played really well in bursts against a decent standard of opposition and we’re the better side overall. In particular Danny Galbraith for me put in his best BU performance to date. His vision and passing was a level above at times.

Is there any footage of the tackle? I hope the boy recovers quickly but going by what’s posted he was taken out going down the touch line. Happens a fair amount of times and a yellow as not a goal scoring opportunity. Getting a bad injury doesn’t make it a red.

The right place to end this comment was at "I really hope the boy recovers quickly" playing devil's advocate for a reckless potentially career ending tackle is a total disgrace, have a serious word with yourself
