Deanburn Dave
GREAT to be back at the Fitbaw. A winning start made it even sweeter. Truth be told our opponents should have scored another few goals but Murphy and the woodwork saved us. Our passing game was poor and it will take game time to get that improved. Theres a lot of promise in that BU squad........ hopefully Max can MAXimize their performances.

Jambo'ness
That was a most pleasing match. Okay, friendlies cannot be taken too seriously but for a first outing of the season and with so many new faces, we did really well. The boys who stood out for me, were Skinner, Jamie McCormack & Cunningham. Sandy is a real live-wire and as mentioned by an Albion fan, will be really popular at Newtown. Sadly, injuries curtailed the appearances of Darren McCormack & MacPherson. Both looked like muscular problems and will hopefully not be serious. Big Hunts rolled back the years with his, what proved to be, winning goal and Zander up front was also sharp.

Deanburn Dave
A few players missing today, assume on holidays/ workGood turnout of players. I think only Gemmell and Jacobs were absent. The new signing from Gala Fairydean (Galbraith) was there but not in the squad.

Mckenzie and herron are the best ones you got from us. McPherson is a good player not sure he was ready for lowland league

Deanburn Dave
BU defence and keeper were well tested today. The Binos big striker and the skillful and speedy right winger were a handful but our back 3 did more than OK.

His main strength is his distribution. He would probably be better as a holding midfielder than a centre half
Deanburn Dave
The fake BU TWITTER account reports our win today and says it sets us up for our trip to Tranent on Tuesday !!! The Tranent website confirms my understanding that the game is at Bo'ness.Tranent have it listed as an 8pm KO.

Surely it’s a useful tool, along with Facebook and Twitter to pass all the info we supporters need.
