Conference X contains new members, but most of them had been playing each other in various iterations of the old East Juniors for several years. Last season they began in late November and only managed 2 or 3 games. Edinburgh College are an unknown but were strong enough to win the last Scottish Unis Shield.

Clubs play 3 times for 30 games. Champion and runner-up qualify for new Second Division; whilst 3rd would join them if there is a net loss or gain of 1 club to or from LL.

Action gets underway on Saturday 17th July then concludes on Saturday 28th May. There is Friday night football on second weekend of season where 2 of possible title contenders Bo'ness Athletic and Fauldhouse meet. Syngenta and Edinburgh College also stage a Friday game in August and February respectively.

With so many West Lothian clubs there will be derbies of a sort every week.

Bo'ness Athletic groundshare with Bo'ness Utd... Edinburgh College groundshare with Heriot-Watt Uni... Syngenta groundshare with Stenhousemuir.

When the fixtures were released it said 3pm kick off above says 2.30 now.

Think the College will be on the astro pitch next to Heriot's.

Dawn breaks on senior football across much of West Lothian this weekend with the opening exchanges in Conference X.

Saturday 17th July
Bathgate Thistle v Syngenta
Bo'ness Athletic v West Calder United
Edinburgh College v Pumpherston (3pm)
Fauldhouse United v Stoneyburn
Livingston United v Whitburn

Livingston v Whitburn pits 2 contenders from 2019-20 together, while Edinburgh College v Pumpherston looks an especially "unknown" quantity.

Will be at Station park today in the Dean's area of Livingston,my 1st time watching Whitburn competitively for a good number of yrs,due to Covid and not being interested because they were still flouncing about the well that was junior fitba...

Different story today however, glorious day outside,a few sherbets in the Saltire pre match and Whitburns 1st game in the EoSFL.....,bring it on !!!!
