Livi’s number 3 making a right c**t of himself at the end there. Who is he?

What did he do?

In spite of losing on penalties, we've done our part in this game. First half it sounded like we played some excellent football, and MacDonald's save in the second sounded ridiculous. Roll on Saturday. Fingers crossed we can get a good turnout for it.

Absolutely no need from Longridge giving the young lad shite before he hit is penalty.

No caring who you are but the lad 17 year old ffs. Good to see Berra make a move in the young lads defence.

Lack of professionalism imo

Took a dump on the pen spot after he scored.

Seemed to noising up Arnott before his penalty and then again after the goalie saved it. Really overly celebrated a meaningless penalty win and a lot of staring at the away fans. Just really weird behaviour from a relative nobody.

Martindale on BBC Scotland talking about various players who are missing through covid. What’s the script with them being able to play and Falkirk having to forfeit?

Falkirk couldn't field a team, we could?

Missing Devlin badly, he'd at least be getting up to the byeline and putting in crosses inside the 6 yard box, mostly pish crosses right enough but the odd one gets it on the money.

Was just listening on Radio Scotland, but they were glowing about us in the first half. Would have taken a draw before kick off but gutted we didn’t win the penalties to guarantee us finishing above Livi. Still think we can beat Alloa on Saturday to qualify for the knockout stage. Which give our recent record in this competition is incredible

I’m all for Longridge just getting in with a bit of shithousing.

In the end it worked, we get the extra point that could possibly see us through. I’m all for it, especially with the extra bit of abuse he got when taking his penalty

The teams forfeiting games were unable to field enough players to make a team.

The boy had Longridge in a headlock, chocking the life out of him during a challenge for the ball in the air. Both players on the deck and your boy wouldn't let go of Longridges neck.
He then proceeded to throw Longridge over his head and continued to try and choke him.
Then Berra and Benedictus tried to get Longridge sent off for "elbowing" by simply running into Longridge.

How do you put someone in a headlock for long enough to chock [sic] the life out of them... in the air?

Honestly neebur, read that post back. It's like you're describing a scene from Godzilla v King Kong. "Threw him over his head" FFS. Collum was about six feet away, throws red cards about like Donkey Kong throws barrels, and didn't bother booking either of them.

Bigger squad?

Less players defined as close contacts?

Falkirk cases presumably more recent, they probably have players waiting in limbo to find out if they need to isolate or not. They aren't allowed to play until that's confirmed.

Could be any number of reasons.

For what it's worth, I think a share of the points is fair. Rovers probably edged it but penalties are penalties, so fair play to Livi.

Interesting to see McGlynn roll out his second and third choice formations for this season. I suspect we'll see a lot more of the back three that finished once we get Musonda and Lang back, particularly in away games. It's a system I really like, but I'm slightly (very slightly) concerned about Liam Dick. It's really early days but he doesn't look particularly settled either defensively or going forward. Hopefully just needs a couple more games to find his rhythm.

I can sort of see what Livi were going for with the long balls over the top, because there was space behind Berra and Benedictus for Anderson to get into, but Berra reads the game si well and Bene is faster than he looks, so it never really came to anything.

The pressing from the Rovers in the first half was excellent and at times Livi just couldn't cope with the fluidity of the Rovers midfield and attack, but we did lack a focal point at times, which you'd expect when we're missing our only two number nines. On the right day though, playing like that against weaker opposition could rack up four of five like we did a couple of times last season.

Liked what I say from BRS. His use of the ball was good if not excellent, and he provided a proper physical defensive midfield option that we didn't really have last year. Really interested to see how he develops and where his limits are.

Ethon Varian didn't get a huge amount of the ball, but doesn't look shy when it comes to putting himself about. Won a couple of balls in the air against Obileye, which bodes well. He'll give smaller units a tough time.

Stryjek improved his penalty saving since the Scottish cup exit against Aberdeen, 2 pens saved. Prob wont be enough though, 5 points, we'd need a win against Cowden and hope Alloa beat Raith. Not confident 8 pts would get us through as one of  the 2nd best teams.

It's very unlikely 8 points will get anyone through, as a runner up anyway. There are groups where 8 points might win it. Yours is one. You need Raith not to win against Alloa.

Aye so my description wasn't the best.

They both go up for the ball, Varion I think, wraps his arm around Longridges neck as the both go up for the ball.
Both players fall to the ground with your players arm firmly around Longridges neck, play moves on, ref and lino not watching with then Longridge trying to get up, your boys arm still round his neck and Longridge is thrown over your players head onto the ground, still with his arm round his neck.

There would have to be video to see it properly, but that's what happened.

That's what we've been missing all last season, players getting into a bit of afters/shithousing and winding up opposition fans, fecking love it. The Alloa fans were giving the officials it tight with the added time, and decisions not going their way, same when players steal yards at throw ins, walk away with the ball at free kicks, meaty challenges etc, totally wasted when there are no fans there getting a rage on.🤣

Whilst the capacity is limited, is there any benefit to incentivising actual attendance? Whether you've got 1000 or 1200 or 1400 folk socially distanced and rattling around Almondvale you're not making much difference to the atmosphere.
It's not like this game is going to sell out, either. The Scottish Cup game last time out with no restrictions only managed 1700 folk.
Once you've got no restrictions and thing are back to normal, of course you'd much rather have people in the ground than not, but right now, failing to offer a stream at all is just another example of a Scottish football club treating its customers (both home and away) with disdain.
I heard people outside the ground being told its. Sell out whwn looking to buy tickets
