The same at most clubs, it toughens youngsters up as they are mixing with older players who have been playing at a higher level and they learn a lot from them.

Correct, it's what I've been saying all along and I'm sure fans with some years in would agree, it's allright putting a loanee into a team when you know the older hands will look out for them but when you field a whole team of young, hung and full of cum gung ho fools out to show these old twats a thing or two, then that's when they run into a Doug Rougvie type mental defender that the fancy footwork ends in battered shins.

HibeeJibee
B teams can use players on loan to other clubs. Weren't there even players on loan from Dundee to Peterhead who played for Dundee B v Peterhead. Isn't this right afforded to actual clubs or is issue WOSFL-specific?

FairWeatherFan
SPFL Trust Trophy – Rangers B v Ayr United – 14/09/21 Ayr United have confirmed to the SPFL that they included Kinlay Bilham and Alex Jeanes in Tuesday’s SPFL Trust Trophy second-round tie against Rangers B at the C&G Systems Stadium when they were on temporary transfers to West of Scotland League clubs Irvine Meadow XI and Girvan respectively. Both players entered the field as 81st-minute substitutes in a match Ayr United won 3-0. As a result, Ayr United have been charged with breaching SPFL Rules and Regulations and the SPFL has arranged a disciplinary hearing for Monday September 20. It's poor from Ayr United not knowing the rules to avoid this issue. It's more of a farce they were chucking in players on loan at T6 & T7 clubs which shows how highly regarded the competition is right now.
Footballfirst
The rules re loaned players seem to indicate that Colt teams can play loaned players, but senior clubs cannot. It is poor that someone didn't know the rules, although I will again point out that the rules for this competition differ for B teams. That is the real farce. As for putting players who are on loan to level 6 and 7 clubs on to the pitch with less than 10 minutes to go, I don't see why that is farcical. After all, they were up against level 5 side. HibeeJibee
You're saying that if Rangers also had 2 players out on loan at Irvine Meadow and Girvan they would have been permitted to play in the tie, but Ayr United's players at the same clubs wouldn't?

Yes. Its hardly an alien concept or a new rule for all the coincidental upset about it. Thats been the case as long as Colt teams have been in it.
