Not the best game that the Rose have played this season but qualifying for next round is all that matters. Hopefully the injury to number 4 isn't to serious. Highlights suggest the sending off was very, very harsh.
Redcar
Both Linlithgow goals might well have been offside, though if he wasn't off for the 2nd, it should have been a penalty if they hadn't scored. David Ferguson was nutted by a defender who had no chance of reaching the ball. Travis did absolutely nothing to warrant a red. Lewis Allan should have had the game won even when we were down to 10, and if Buchanan had been available we'd be in the next round. Without Buchanan, we have no strikers worthy of the name. Ultimately, we lost in a cup to lower league opposition for the 6 millionth time since we got relegated.

Marooneye
Having seen highlights goals looked on. Berwick were worthy of extra time. That was the worst Rose performance I've seen since the Ferguson days but it's the result that matters in cup football.

berwicksfinest
Either way debating offside goals when once again we are out of the cup to a lower division side again (no disrespect to Linlithgow) is just not acceptable. I think its fair to be wanting some answers and action

GorgieRose
Sour grapes, better team 11 v 10 yes. Offside goals really, appealing red card only surprise is it was an hour too late.

SFA Fast Track disciplinary committee:- Greg Skinner is given a retrospective red card and 2 match ban for his - admitted - assault in the first half. Michael Travis's red card and 2 match ban for a non-event in the 2nd half has been rescinded. You have to wonder what motivated the ref to send off Travis for an imaginary stamp. Imaginary, because it didn't happen. Come on, you Spartans. Edited September 22, 2022 by Redcar
UpInTheStand
Go on then, I’ll bite. Travis spent the hour he was on the pitch having sly digs at Rose players. Greg Skinner isn’t in the habit of assaulting players so why did he have a go at Travis in the first half? Also, if Travis doesn’t pull Sneddon to the ground from behind by the collar of his shirt after the ball is away, then there is no opportunity for a stamp, imaginary or otherwise. Berwick weren’t good enough on the day and Travis cost you dear. Good luck supporting Spartans in the next round! All the best to Berwick for the rest of the season.

'Our player assaulted someone on the pitch. But he's not like that really, honestly'. Stop your trolling, you support a team of neanderthals who have been proven to be such by the powers that be. Enjoy watching your clogger league this weekend, hopefully there'll be some more rugby-style action you can froth at the mouth over.
UpInTheStand
Oh, I think there’s only one person frothing at the mouth… You'll be in that ‘clogger league’ soon enough. Enjoy the Lowland League while you can, old chap.

An incident where a player gets sent off makes us neanderthals. Some take you have on things. You really should be spending more time worrying about your own team. You were beaten by a Rose team that were honking on the day. How many years in the Lowland League now? More chance of tier six than tier four for you. A board and supporters club continually embroiled in civil war. A manager that's a helmet, and failed wherever he goes, top decision to give him a three year deal. Face it, you're irrelevant and the days of living off scraps whilst lingering about the basement of tier four are over. Hang on you beat Rangers over fifty years ago. Where are you now, that's right, irrelevant and sinking. Enjoy your day. Edited September 24, 2022 by Marooneye
