Some of the sides we might be drawing if we beat Hibs:

Genk, AZ Alkmaar, Zoyra Luhansk, Randers, Strum Graz/LASK plus some pretty big names dropping from Champions league qualifiers.

The Europa conference will have 90 sides in it including the losers from the first champions league qualifying round and the cup winners from the weakest nations. Imagine we will be seeded so potentially sides from Andorra, Gibraltar etc

I've not looked at the page yet to see what it sees, but this website the one to keep an eye on usually to see who you're likely to face.

Apologies if you were already aware, its probably been posted before in one of our multiple European adventures in the past decade.

Feel we are much more equipped for European football under this manager but the age old problem of having a squad and one that is fit could raise its head.

If we win next week and are guaranteed the games until December, hopefully it'll help retain players and does it give us a later start?

We'll be well drilled under Callum Davidson and even in the few years since we last played in Europe, the ability to scout the opposition should have increased.

Personally feel today was massive as it removes a bit of pressure. League Cup and Europe is a great a season. I think Hibernian have the pressure more on them next Saturday.

My understanding, and apologies if its wrong, is that currently we've qualified for the Second Qualifying Round of the Europa Conference League, which is played 22nd/29th July.

If we win the Cup then everyone says we go into the Europa League Play-Offs, which is due on the 19th/26th August.

Technically, we will not qualify for Europe until the Scottish Cup Final is completed. Where we end up is pretty convoluted if Hibs win next week.

As it stands, they are only in the Conference League. Reading it through, it appears Aberdeen take their place if they win and we take Aberdeen's. Etc etc etc.

I don't fucking care either way. Europe again!

Well technically it's impossible for you not to qualify for Europe - we have four league places and one cup place, but since the other finalist has already qualified then it'll be five league places and the cup will just decide who gets the Europa League place.

So not really convoluted - whoever wins goes into the Europa League play-off (guaranteed Conference League group stage) and whoever loses goes into the Conference League second qualifying round.

Need Leicester and Liverpool to win today with Chelsea dropping points, then Chelsea to win the Champions League final. Seems a tall order tbh.

So far, so good...
