Mare of Easttown

Seen four episodes of this so far on Sky Atlantic.

Quite enjoyable - a few plot twists and a good setting in a grimy rustbelt town in Pennsylvania.

Kate Winslet is good - and will be interesting to see where they go with Guy Pearce's character - as I suspect there's a bit more to him than we've seen so far.

I like it.  Kate WInslet is excellent, as are Jean Smart and Angourie Rice as her mum and daughter.  All the acting is excellent, that's the best thing about it.

It is a bit dreary and sometimes almost seems like an episode of Eastenders with so many things going wrong and so many grim occurrences.  Of course, it was never going to be particularly cheery given the subject matter.

The Guy Pearce thing did throw me, too big an actor for a small role.

really enjoyed it, episodes 1-6 were excellent, was seriously underwhelmed by the last episode though but seem to be in minority looking at twitter

I was also a bit disappointed with the last episode, too much filler I think, but the twist WAS good.
