I see it as a good thing either way. Either Breidablik get through and we have a good shot, or Austria Vienna are worse than they possibly "should be" , giving us a decent shot either way. I presume we would be out performing our seeding should we progress past the next round into the play offs?

We’re going to win the competition FYI

We're away first leg...
Austria Wien (AUT) / Breidablik (ISL) vs Aberdeen (SCO) / BK Häcken (SWE)

Good news.

All being well, should be a full house as second leg past the 9th Aug.

…..and with the away goals rule being scrapped, more ties will go to ET and pens - so generally better to be at home second.

FT: Hacken 1, Elfsborg 1.

Both teams had won 4 on the bounce in the league. Elfsborg are 3rd. Three changes from Thursday. I didn't watch it. Preferred watching five hours plus of torrential rain.10 yellow cards, 4 for Hacken.

Thish should preshent no shignificant problem.

*Edit* FK Austria Wien opened their league season with a 2-1 loss at SV Ried, who finished one place behind them (9th) last term. Breithablik nip out to struggling Kefkavik this evening.

I imagine Gallagher will start tonight, would also like to see us start with Mackenzie and give Hayes a rest for the United game. Also wouldn't be surprised if we see one of the strikers either not starting or subbed of by halftime instead of McGinn or Jenks, JET especially as he looked knackered at full time last week.

Surprised to see an unchanged team. Was expecting McCrorie to move to RB with Gallagher playing CB with Consi.

Hope we don't make the same mistake as Celtic and overuse Brown. Requires strong management. If it's looking comfortable then take him off at the hour mark.

Its a tough call to drop anyone after the performance in the 1st leg. I'd like to think once we settle into the game there will be some movement like you mentioned.
