Not sure if Moyes is a raging unionist, but that quoted text is sycophantic, staunch, forelock-tugging subservience to the Empire.

He goes way off script of a cup based competition into rolling all teams into "a greater English league system". What a fucking idiot. Is he entirely unaware that we are not the same country in the same way France isn't Spain, nor Netherlands Germany. He should be proud to be Scottish, yet for some reason that pride is located at a foreign country.

If that's the case unified national side then. Lets play as the UK and see how much the yoons like that.

There is no justifiable case whatsoever for Scotland, England, NI and Wales having their own teams when Catalonia etc can't. Its not fair or right and shouldn't be allowed.

So call these trumpets bluff then lets dissolve the national side and see how they like that.

Sadly there will be some, who support such an idea, that will happily castigate any rejected Scottish GB caps while cheering on second rate English fodder. All the time wrapped in a Union Jack, of course.

Aye but you also get some raging yoons that are massive Scotland fans. Utter freaks. They would hate it.

And it is true to say its not fair or right that the UK has four teams. They shouldn't be allowed that, nobody else gets that.

I might be falling foul of Poe's Law here, but I presume taking that logic to it's natural conclusion is that we should have a unified European team?

Why are you such a bore?

You know fine well the reasons for the UK's unique status in football but are being an obtuse arse as usual.

The reasons are we made the rules so gave ourselves special treatment that isn't afforded to anybody else. That's not fair or right, so we should be treated the same as everybody else.

There should be a UK team.

Catalonia does have it's own national team.

There should be a UK team.

This isn't remotely true. The Faroe Islands have a team, the US Virgin Islands have a team, the Cook Islands have a team, etc.

Anyway, Moyes can bolt. Daft old granny looking c**t.

I do though have to disagree that he should be proud to be Scottish. He shouldn't be proud, or ashamed, about where he was born.

All these places have a far higher degree of autonomy than the constituent parts of the UK which are essentially regions of an incorporating union. The UK is one unitary state. Its not the same. Legally we are just part of the UK called Scotland.

The Faroes controls its own borders independently of Denmark. We don't.

The Cook Islands exercise their own foreign policy and control their own borders. We don't.

The Virgin Islands are an unincorporated territory of the US. We are part of an incorporating union. The clue to the difference is in the words, do I have to explain? The Virgin Islands is not governed by the US and they do not get a vote in US elections. We are governed by the UK and do get a vote. Its completely different.
