JOHNNYT
Hello everyone, Everton fan here, after the recent European Super League debacle in England our little forum in England is looking to support a lower league team from Scotland. We have a poll on who to choose i just wondered if you have any recommendations and for what reason. Maybe a bit of history in the club ect. We've decided to choose from the lower leagues. I'd like to link post responses on our forum footballforums if that's ok.....we have a few members who travel the UK visiting as many grounds as possible and i have recently read a book on the Scottish football grounds and found it fascinating (especially some of the pics of the old days) My personal choice is Stranraer after holidaying there in the 80s and spending a night in the supporters club ( full of Rangers fans on their way home) had a right laugh to be fair. One of the following we have decided to choose from, if this isn't allowed on here i apologise and maybe people can PM answers. Queen's Park Edinburgh City Stirling Albion Stranraer Elgin City Stenhousemuir Albion Rovers Annan Athletic Cowdenbeath Partick Thistle Falkirk 18 Cove Rangers Airdrieonians Montrose East Fife Peterhead Clyde Dumbarton Forfar Athletic

Peterhead is also Alexandra Burke's favourite place in the UK and of course Alexandra's Brit nominated hit "Bad Boys" was inspired by the actions of ex-prisoner and Everton legend Duncan Ferguson.
paranoid android
Falkirk 18 is the correct answer - a great bunch of lads, no doubt.

I was having a quiet pish down an alley once. Hadn’t noticed my hand was leaning on a door. The door opened and I crashed into a deli, mid-flow, behind the counter with all the meat and olives etc. Had to buy lunch elsewhere in future as wasn’t popular after that.

Popular Post ICTChris
A short summary of all those clubs Queen's Park - A load of 19th century toffs. All fans wear top hats. They used to refuse to pay players as it was ‘common’. Edinburgh City - Moving back to Meadowbank though, probably a better away day than Ainslie Park. Stirling Albion - Beat Rangers even though their manager was on a lads weekend at the time. Very funny. Stranraer - Wreck salvaging Rangers fans. You can watch their games through a fence. Elgin City - Once you are playing for Elgin you know it's one step above doing keepie-uppie in your back garden. Stenhousemuir - Hipster central. Support them and you immediately get your own BBC Scotland show. Albion Rovers - Their ground is old school in the sense of an old school that was in the path of Hurricane Katrina and was abandoned afterwards. Annan Athletic - My team beat them 8-1 many years ago and one of our worst ever players got subbed for taking the piss out of them. They are much better now, I believe. Cowdenbeath - If the footballs shit, stay for the stock car racing. Partick Thistle - Scary mascot, student fans, good away day, lots of pubs, West End, pish team for last few years. We didn't start the fire. Falkirk - Extremely mad but good value fans on here. Specialise in losing cup finals. Cove Rangers - Moneybag Dorics shaking up the seaside leagues. Airdrieonians - Scottish Millwall. All their fans are members of National Action. Montrose - Entirely supported by hardy fishermen. East Fife - Big in the 1950s, now have one stand that used to have a good view of a power plant. Peterhead - Heroin and herring. Clyde - Their fans on here are the biggest load of headcases. Several of them will kill you if you step out of line. Dumbarton – If you like massive rocks then you’ll love it. Forfar Athletic - Bridies. That's it.

Bob in Denny
Falkirk and Partick Thistle - lower league teams On a culinary note, . Forfar Athletic - Bridies. Superb, worth the trip, and a bag of Saddler's steak ones headed home as well Arbroath - Exceptional kippers and smokies.

Jimi Shandrix
Arbroath - The best away day in Scotland Forfar - As has been stated, the bridies are awesome. Brechin - Another good away day, good hedge. Any one of these three is the way to go. Without wishing to offend any of the town's fine denizens, you really don't want to choose Peterhead.
Sortmeout
Pick somewhere far enough away so that if you decide to travel to a game after Covid you’ve got an excuse to make a weekend of it. Also, being an Everton fan, if it’s a shit club who play in blue that warms your heart then Falkirk will be the club for you.
