Hibs v Livingston Wed 21st 6pm ko

Recommended Posts

Better 2nd half but shite formation playing 3 CB's did us in the 1st half, and Hibs pretty much cruised it to the win. Better game management than us in the 2-2 game last season at Easter rd, when we were 2-0 up at HT, and conceded the equaliser in the 92nd min, they just pissed about in the corners seeing it out.

Hey ho 4th place is def too much for us now, a win against Aberdeen in our next game would be enough to hold onto 5th though.

Just seen the highlights. Whether there was a touch, it’s hard to tell, but Boyle certainly doesn’t help this reputation he is building with the way he launches himself into the air and throws out his leg to try and make contact.

Soon as Efe put his leg across Boyle, he was chucking himself over it, funnily enough he rode the challenge outside the box a few seconds earlier, that would have been a more convincing foul.

Feels like we're just going through the motions lately. We were much better when we switched to the 4-2-3-1, but the damage was already done. f**k knows why we didn't start with it but oh well.

Martindale overthinking it trying to stop an opposition player (Boyle), same as he did in the cup final playing Marv on the left wing against Rooney, He stuck Efe* in a back 5, he fucked up and admitted it in his post match interview but we all could've told him that before kick off. He's needing to line us up to play to our own strengths, rather than stopping the opposition players with formations that don't suit us. Fair enough having a certain player watched, but not in a way it fucks up our whole shape, and is detrimental to our attacking play too.

*for the first goal Boyle gets left in a big space in the box that Efe should've been covering, but he leaves it thinking Longridge would be going there.

We should’ve been about 4-0 up at half time, played very well. No doubt about our penalty, terrible defending from Efe and a very clear foul.

Didnt look brilliant second half but we defended well and Nisbet really should’ve taken at least one of the chances he missed late on.

None whatsoever.

Hoping for similar against Aberdeen just to watch their diddy fans reaction
