Well done saints. Being a fan of a club of similar size (Thistle fan)  you're doing what I could only dream of my club doing. League cup in the bag and I hope yous win the Scottish too. Great group of players you have and credit to Calum Davidson in his first year as manager getting top 6 aswel incredible job he's doing.

'League's the priorty' is a fucking fantastic and hilarious take from the wee dick on the right who rather than actually celebrating his team scoring, was more intent on seeing if he could play horsey with his computer chair.

The league was won weeks, if not months ago and for him to try and console himself that this is OK because leagues the priority, is brilliant stuff.

At least we won the league. Good luck Saints. I sincerely want you to do the double now. Hopefully this will serve as inspiration for next year if we don't sell our best players...

Signing off for the night. Don't @ me.

You find Janey Godley funny so your opinion isn't really valid.

You were really handing out the insults last night. I’d rather watch a re-run of yesterday’s Aberdeen match than willingly listen to that woman.

Watching the penalties back, and Kerrs is the epitome of our performance last night.

McGregor trying to psyche him out by refusing to pass him the ball, yet he just strolls up steely eyed, and fucking mashes it into the top corner.

Had a good feeling all day about the game if we could stop Kent. I'd expected Aribo to play in the front three but that didn't happen with Arfield out and that helped us. Our shape is so good and Rangers were left with really just Kent in the forward areas that can make it one-on-one.

Of course we got a couple of bits of fortune, Saints will never beat a good Rangers or Celtic team without it but we certainly merited taking it to penalties and once there, we earned the win.

Scoring when we did was huge and the adrenaline pumping through Clark was never going to be anything but a massive advantage, he must've felt he could save anything.

Four cup wins from our last five trips to Ibrox but a first ever win over them in the Scottish Cup, another box ticked off during the most incredible period in the club's history.

I hadn’t commented on the game last night, well because 120 minutes plus penalties totally took it out of me frankly. So here’s my take on it all.

Firstly, Zander Clark deserves a tremendous amount of credit. Saints fans have been waiting for a performance like that for a season and a half now and at the point where you least expect it, he only goes and does that. Not only saving 4/5 really good Rangers chances, but assisting a last second equaliser then saving penalties as well. I’m delighted for the big man and he deserves the adulation. Does that stop me from wanting a new goalkeeper for next season, nope. Does it give me some hope that Zander can finally believe in himself and produce that week in week out, I certainly hope so. Either way he deserves the plaudits he’ll get tonight.

That game shows the type of team we are. We might not have a group of flashy, stylish players. However, my god are we well structured and trained to within an inch of perfection now. A lot of these guys will go on to do incredible things in their careers away from saints and I only hope the next batch of youngsters watch McCann and Kerr and think that’ll be me in a few seasons. You could visibly see Rangers getting more and more frustrated as the game went on, yes we gave up chances, yes Rooney was getting caught out in the second half with balls in behind. You know what, can almost guarantee it won’t happen the next time we face Rangers, Davidson will see to that. We’ve become a team where opposition managers need to do something to stop us being solid and as yet very few have managed.

Do I think we’ll win the cup and do a double, nope but I didn’t think we’d get anything other than a thumping at Ibrox, so what the hell do I know!!

I just hope when all this COVID stuff is done, we’ve actually still got the bulk of this amazing squad and management team to go and watch play. So we can enjoy them together for the brief period in our history when we appear to have become cup specialists. A lot of things went right under Tommy Wright, including the cup win, but he never actually got us that far after winning it. Davidson has come in and never looked back, he alone deserves a lot of praise for the way he’s turned it around and conducted himself. It’s actually a joy to see him animated, celebrating and smiling on the touch line, he’s finally realised how much it rubs off on the players and he’s actually pretty infections on the side.

Either way it matters little what happens next or who we draw, this team have already cemented their place in St Johnstone history this season, but heck let’s go one better and do an unprecedented double for nothing more than a diddy team, that wouldn’t be half bad.

Hibernian
St Johnstone
Dundee United
Kilmarnock or St Mirren

One of them will be playing group stage football next season in Europe.
Let's be honest, StJohnstone should be given the spot right now, regardless.

You're welcome, Scottish football.
Love the irony of Craigen spending a solid minute talking about "Captain Tav" steps up yet again when he's most needed, before the same player absolutely bottles his penalty.
It's a great feeling, nearly as good as winning the cup itself. Now just imagine getting knocked out by United in the semis and you'll know how we felt [emoji23].

I'm anticipating us losing every game for the rest of the season now, tbh.
