St Johnstone vs Rangers, Wednesday 21 April, 2021

Saints the better side and should be ahead.

What Stevie May lacks in ability be makes up for in pest factor. McCann in the middle of the park looks like a really good find too.

Rangers fairly poor. Tavernier looks really rusty, Hagi clearly isn't suited to playing a line deeper and Rangers fans must be getting a bit concerned by Itten whenever he gets on the park. He looks to be going back the way every game he plays. Can't see him every being a first 11 player.

Wright has been bright when he's got on the ball.

Park seems a bit "Firey". [emoji846]

Excellent first half from us, great effort and set up has been spot on from Davidson.

Do fear the longer it goes without us scoring the quality rangers have will punish a mistake or they'll break at pace on us.  Particularly as we tire and rangers can throw on subs as the point was made earlier.

Still, so nice to see us take a game to the OF and not just meekly lie down.

Better than the usual guy and McInnes is a good co-commentator. Knows what he’s talking about and like night and day from Danny Griffin! [emoji1787]
Been a lot less partisan but I've enjoyed. Says something about Saints when we've got four players on the park that were here when McInnes was in charge!

Really enjoyed that first half performance, summed a lot of what's been good about us this season. Hell of shift for the two wingbacks and McCann and Wotherspoon though.

Discovered at the age of 12...

Looked like he was dizzy, made a circling gesture when going  off

Concussion likely then?

Can't remember the rules now, but think it rules him out the weekend if it is.

Good game. St Johnstone unlucky not to be ahead.

Liked what I’ve seen from Simpson so far. Can really pick a pass, even if he’s put a bit too much heat on some of them.

Lets see Bassey in this second half.

We will rue those early misses.

Yup. When Rangers go full OF and bring £40m worth of player off the bench to bludgeon us to death, we'll probably crack.

Such is life. Nice to see us playing, and playing well, with a front 2 in a harder game.

Also, the half time RTV highlights from 1962 were class. Love watching old games like that.

We're getting an action cam of our groundsman eating a pie and drinking bovril 😂

Aye we’ve now cut to that as well haha. He looks like he’s enjoying himself, so fair play

Scottish football in a nutshell, IMO.

No panache, no fancy highlight reel, just 5 minutes watching a bloke eat meat.

To be fair I’m quite enjoying groundsman watch!

As said pre match, this could be a prime example of the five subs shafting us. We’ve already been forced into a change we wouldn’t have wanted to make and only have limited options to chase the game beyond that. Rangers will bring on Morelos and Kent against a team who have been pressing at 100mph and run right through us late in the game.

Just leave it as it is, don't want them to pick up any injuries.
