Beastie Russell
Irrespective of being 2 up I thought we were poor all game. point gained IMO
Michael W
That's it. It's extremely tight but we have missed a glorious opportunity to put in some distance. If we'd held on it would've been 8 ahead of QoS, 7 ahead of Dunfermline and 5 ahead of ICT with a game in hand. In terms of cementing the playoff that would've surely just about done it. Would've also sent a message for second place as well. Infuriating, really. A huge game now awaits on Tuesday that we cannot afford to lose.

clashcityrocker
Great comeback by Arbroath - for almost 60 mins Raith were were the dominant team, but due to a combination of making the right subs and having a gritty determination Arbroath earned a very hard fought draw. Raith looked a constant threat - with some neat passing and fast paced players creating a lot of openings. But Arbroath never gave up, kept going and were worthy of a draw. A hard fought point from a very difficult match.

Leicesterlichtie
You can almost certainly be sure that a side managed by DC is going to be one that will more often than not have a lot of fight about them. For large chunks, we were well out of the game but digging deep and getting that goal so soon after going 2 down gave us that extra boost to pick up a result. All the best for remainder of the season Raith fans.

embow
Sounds bizzare but with only four games left to play there's still a long long way to go.
Broken Algorithms
1 minute ago, roverthemoon said: How are we still second? Seriously Fortunately, two of the teams below us, who have far larger budgets, have utter impostors in charge. If McPake or Crawford weren't in charge, Dundee/Dunfermline would be well ahead in second. Crawford has 3 away wins in 22 matches. Tuesday will be an interesting test of how we're doing. We pumped Queens last time down at Palmerston but gifted them a 2-0 win in one of our most passive displays of the season. Beat them again and we'll be in a really good position.
CALDERON
Thought we saw the best and the worst of this Rovers side today. We played some nice stuff in the first half, and didn't give Arbroath a sniff of the ball after an early chance. Got a deserved goal, and whilst we didn't threaten a huge amount, looked really comfortable. The dynamic began to change in the 2nd half. Arbroath began to exploit our weaknesses and, to be honest, we got a 2nd goal that we didn't really deserve. That should have been enough for us to shut up shop, but that is a huge weakness in this side. Winning ugly. We haven't done it anywhere near regularly enough this season. Arbroath just went for it and in the end could easily have won it. We didn't exactly have oodles of quality on the bench, but the game was crying out for a change up top. Some kind of different outball to try and ease the pressure. In the end, the change that was made was a defender. That's fine, providing that you actually defend. Otherwise, it essentially meant game over in terms of the win after 80 mins - as the team was set up not to concede - and did. That said, its another game gone and we are still 2nd. It was a huge opportunity lost today, can't really argue that, but 4 games to go and 5 points clear in 4th with a good goal difference. I would have settled for that before the game. Arbroath looked better than Morton in that they put up a fight towards the end, but didn't see much between them and Ayr. Will be a tight run to the finish there. Good luck anyway.
roverthemoon
So, trying to move from pessimism to optimism., if ourselves and Dundee win on Tuesday night then a play-off spot is pretty much guaranteed. That’s something to aim for. Take the disappointment of chucking in two goals late on today into a blistering performance on Tuesday night. Fingers crossed

HIT THE CHANNEL
If Spencer/Musonda deal with that and don’t gift that first goal its almost certain we would have passed them to death and killed the game. Dreadful goal - and so sloppy a goal that it rattled us and gave Arbroath so much confidence. Huge missed opportunity and concerning for what it does for the confidence on Tuesday. The best that can be said is we didn’t lose ground and there is another game down. But f**k me, what a mare.
Leggy Blonde
Overall 2 points dropped, but MacDonald saved us a point late on, as that deflection was goal bound and he didn’t have a lot of time to think about it. Great reaction save.

Arbroath have plenty of fight about them but you'd have to think if we just kept it tight for 5 minutes after we got that 2nd goal their heads might have dropped.
