Scottish Cup 4th (and 5th) Round Draw

Recommended Posts

Another tournament, another Final that won't involve Celtic or Rangers. Great stuff.

We've not really been battered by either OF side this season since we got going, so we'll have a chance. We're well overdue beating Celtic considering the games this season too.

Better to face them now than the Final.

Not sure what to make of that. Should be a decent enough "virtual" turn out than if we played a lower league side but obviously much less to no chance of progression.

Given that St Johnstone won the League Cup, I’d be optimistic of our game being on the telly. Having either of the OF in the next round will be some incentive for our players but probably even more so for St Johnstone as to not make an arse of it and go full strength.

If we win that game, we’ll play you twice in a week. Everyone loves a dress rehearsal

Last game I remember v Clyde was a match down there (do you even still play at the same stadium?), where Dyron Daal had a tap in from 2 yards yet somehow shat out getting onto a cross from 2 yards out.

Can we not just play once and decide who progresses/gets the points based on that?

Back to back OF games are always a nightmare. We have nowhere near the depth for it.

For the 4th round TV picks, Premier’s first pick is obvious regardless of what happens later. I think they’ll also take Aberdeen v Livingston because it requires the least effort.

Forfar v Dundee Utd and, if they win tomorrow, Stranraer v Hibs on the BBC. No idea what the second tie will be if Queen of the South win (or what their third pick will be if they have one).

Whoever Aberdeen drew, it was going to look tricky. I'm happier though with somebody like Livi rather than Morton or QoS, where the pressure is on and the cameras turn up again expecting us to lose.

I just have a wee feeling that we're going to start getting better.

Happy enough with the draw.

Can't see it mate. We're not very fashionable for the tv companies, and they'll probably think one of us will be shown v the OF winner in the next round, so no point showing either of us now.

Could be wrong, but I'd be very surprised if they pick our tie for live tv.

Can't see us being on telly at all. Maybe at Broadwood but not there.

It's a team we haven't played in a while. Shame we can't go but there were worse ties and we already have a bit of prize money. Fluke a win and we are sorted.

Very pleased with the draw. Probably our best chance to make it to a semi-final since we last won the cup, provided we don't have a shock in the 4th round.

Provided we can both get through it should be a good game. Both sides will see it as a big chance to go on to potential glory with no Hearts and one of the OF going no further than the next round.

Get that draw to f**k into the sea.

Fifty-one years since we last won at Fir Park.

Since then we've recorded wins at places like Ibrox (twice), Parkhead (twice), Pittodrie (three times), Easter Road (four), a half dozen at Tynecastle and eight in Paisley.

Last five trips to Motherwell we've conceded 19 goals with no reply.

It has to change sometime. The law of averages and all that.

Shame no fans are likely to be allowed in to Fir Park 😤
