Game was there to be won....but we threw it away with abysmal game management from DY and lazy, amateur-esque, decision-making from our players. Simple as that. Don't mind being out of the cup to be honest, just infuriated in the manner we gave the game away. A win is a win but some players need to have a look at themselves. Strapp probably had his worst game in a Morton shirt. Was it him that missed an open goal from a foot out? Cambuslang Fifer Posted April 3, 2021 Share Posted April 3, 2021 congratulations to Morton in the next round, good game to watch and Morton won in extra time when we were tired and we had no strikers on the park after 90mins was laughable to see Morton miss about 10+ shots before one of the Morton players scored a goal all season to win the tie on a different day without the fixture pile up things would have been different both teams look confirmable for a draw. in efs eyes losing a equaliser to a penalty in a box in 90mins full of bodies we were unlock by not seeing it out in the end, but footballs a funny old game. When an East Fife player gets the ball running into the Morton half at almost the last minute you should not lose the game. Retain possession and run up the line at worse get a throw in. Think Arbroath will fancy their chances of finishing above Morton. Arbroath certainly nothing to fear from that Morton team.
