Vodka Vic Posted March 30, 2021 Share Posted March 30, 2021 Thoughts of a potential banana skin for QP or Rovers raising their game should be instantly dismissed. Our manager hinted that he may give some fringe players a shot tonight given the heavy schedule so far and with Saturday’s game against Cowdenbeath in mind where relatively speaking we have a better chance of getting something (BB are no mugs of course). Should be 3 points for QP where fitness itself should be a deciding factor as alluded to above. Our new signs on paper are better than what we have but still too early to have an impact. Stones from Hearts looks a smashing potential for the future- a commanding goalie which we have missed for a few seasons now. Gallagher, McGowan and Sideserf in defence still finding their feet. McKernon and Stevenson both look overweight (I expect some QP jibes about Mark Yardley) . Cox as well still to make an impact. Would hope to see the likes of Murray, Robson, Carroll and Connell back in tonight. It's a luxury we have over other teams and it makes perfect sense given the schedule of games. It's great that goals are getting shared around but we need more from the strikers imo. It was interesting to read that Rovers may field a slightly weakened team to save the regulars for a game they have more chance of winning. A Cowdenbeath fan has suggested the same thing when playing us. One or two injury doubts prior to the Brechin game which proceeded to have 5 regulars not in the squad.
