Toon v Clyde

Recommended Posts

Is Howie injured or was he just rested for Montrose like Lang seemed to be rested for Keith?

Be interesting to see the team sheets for this one as we'll be moving through our rota so we'll probably have quite a different team out. That is, compared to the one that began on Saturday. I fancy we'll use about as many subs as we can manage too.

Hard one to call. Peterhead are great at home.

Do you have any full-time loan players - question for the Toon fans? It'll be interesting to see what part fitness plays in things tomorrow and on Thursday.

Only have two - Freeman from Dundee United and Strachan from Dundee. Were supposed to get another couple from Dundee but hasn't happened and only a day left on the loan window.

We are out of the cup and don't have any Thursday games which should help us fitness wise.

Really hope we go for this tonight. If we were to get a win we would likely be heading to Methil on Thursday sitting in 8th , considering Dumbarton and Forfar are facing Falkirk and Thislte tonight, and have us 4 points clear of bottom spot. Anything we can pick up from East Fife would then be a bonus.

Think this match could be pivotal in our survival in League 1, get a result and gives us the momentum going into the next few games. Getting to 8th would mean its in our own hands rather than hoping Forfar & Dumbarton continually lose.

fingers crossed for tonight. Lang obviously a big miss.

We routinely struggle away to Peterhead so anything we can get tonight would be a bonus. I think we got a draw last season and a 2-1 win in the league 2 promotion season but other than that has been slim pickings.

Was a big improvement on Saturday compared with the East Fife game who we play yet again on Thur. It really is a crazy fixture list. Would be tempted to play as strong a side as we can and hopefully get some points on the board then make changes for the cup game against Ayr.

The rotation has already been in evidence and we’ll see it again tonight obviously.

The questions for me are how much he can get out of Otoo at LB in terms of games and also when he chooses to rest Goodwillie. Think the chat has been around maybe giving him the Ayr game off but not sure if Lennon would treat a Cup game like that, think he might not start at EF on Thursday night.

I imagine we’re not getting Nicoll tonight just with him playing a full 90 in our last two games so the likes of Lamont, Love and Cunningham might be getting brought in even though we played OK at Montrose.

As said above, this is a big game because with Forfar and particularly Dumbarton’s fixtures in the coming games, we need to try and get some points on the board and hopefully put ourselves in the driving seat for 8th.

Great Q. Cosgrove on off the ball recommended it earlier in season when his team playing the heed. No sure what way wind was blowing that day or if it was one below gale force

From North, or North East.

Odd how it manages to do that on the two days a season you guys visit?

Maybe there is a God after all?

Suppose it's hindsight now but we really should've taken Goodwillie off at half-time or failing that an hour at Keith. They were rank and in no danger of troubling us after we went 2 up.
